I purchased this in a desperate attempt to relieve the crushing 24/7 concussion headache at the base of my skull and around both sides of the back of my head. My neurologist directed me to stop taking OTC meds and I can’t tolerate the usual RX options. Regular ice packs felt good but wouldn’t stay in place or cover the full area. They were also crunchy and didn’t maintain the right temperature. The heating pad didn’t mold to my head, had wires to deal with and keeps me stuck lying in bed.Then I remembered these warm/cold caps from previous research for my regular chronic headaches around my eyes and forehead. Decided to give it a shot!Because it’s been hot here, I have only used the cold so far and LOVE IT! It has helped the concussion headache so much. The effect doesn’t last too long once I take it off, but at least I can get a couple hours of relief at a time which is glorious. It’s extremely comfortable, molds perfectly to my head, has the exact right level of coolness, and I can walk around and do my thing while it’s on. I want to wear it all the time, it’s that good! If I need to sit and rest my eyes from the very, very bright concussion light, I can pull it down over my eyes for black-out, coolness and light pressure.The warm/cold is all the way around the head except for a small area at the crown which is just fabric. There isn’t a ponytail hole that other products have. It is very, very soft - both the fabric itself and the padding with the gel inside, not crunchy or stiff like other reusable ice packs. It completely molds to your head, but not in a tight, constricting way (I have a big head for a woman, lots of hair and most regular hats are too tight for me). The cap is heavier than you’d think, which I think makes it even more comfortable and soothing. There’s a bit of a weighted blanket effect, and the cold/pressure combo is a good sensory tool for me.It’s ready to wear after 45-60 minutes in the freezer and will last up to 2 hours, with less coolness for another hour (meaning not cold to the touch, but kind of like a cool pillowcase).I immediately ordered a second one so I can rotate in/out of the freezer, a third one for my sister who has chronic migraines to try, and recommended it to all my friends who struggle with headaches AND those who use ice on the head or cold water on hands as a sensory interruptor for themselves or their neurodivergent kids to re-regulate in moments of high stress.Clearly, I HIGHLY recommend it and the price point is great!

This cap has been a game changer for my migraines. I get them at the base of my head towards the back and this "ice pack beanie" has become an essential. It doesn't rid me of the migraine but definitely provides substantial reliefI like how this one has the top covered so my hair doesn't poke out the top and look goofy like other ones. The gel is pretty thick on both fronts and back. The top is just fabric but it prevents it from looking too silly on my head . Looks like a beanie and I usually wear it like one when I need to move around the house and see where I'm going. Also good to wear during extreme heat in the summer as a way to keep cool.I've had mine for about 2 months now and plan on getting another one to swap them out back and forth when the other gets warm from use. Great quality migraine relief cap!

As a family of migraine and accident prone folk we love these caps. They are soft, flexible and freeze our headaches away. Our only complaint is they do not stay cold for very long and don't have the gel on the top of the head for those BP spike headaches. I get 30 to 45 minutes of cold which does help but on a bad day I need more, so we bought two. Which works but I really wish they stayed cold longer.

The cap fits even larger heads. Comfortable to wear.Without chilling the mask when you put it on it is cold and continues to get chillier as you wear it.Another use for it is for hot flash relief besides headaches. As I feel the hot flash coming on which starts in my head, I put on the mask and it chills me down pretty quick.

As someone who deals with migraines that can knock me out for days, this is an absolute must-have. The gel consistency feels amazing against the forehead and scalp—cooling without being uncomfortable. I really like how it stretches down over the eyes, blocking out light completely and creating a dark, calming environment no matter where you are. Between the relief it provides and the comfort of the design, this has been an awesome purchase and a game-changer for managing migraine days.

Works great! Nice and cold if you stick it in the freezer for an hour! Live it for when I get my bad migraines!

It's kind of small. It does help with headaches but I cant pull it down very far. I can use it on my forehead or back of head, but I cant pull it down enough to cover both which is the only way I've been able to tackle a migrane before.

This product is amazing! Being a person dealing with post-traumatic head injury migraines, this ice cap has been a wonderful thing to have on hand. The product had no weird smell right out of the box. It's made of a nice soft stretchy fabric that can fit most adult head sizes. It has a nice gentle level of pressure that is comfortable to wear for hours on end. The only downside is it doesn't stay cold or hot for very long, but a trick I've found to keep it cold for longer is to keep it in the freezer overnight. Despite, the temperature not lasting long, this product is still worth getting more than one of it! I liked this product enough to order two more to rotate them out throughout the day when my migraines get really bad and need multiples cold compresses.
