is the light strip one piece 50ft long? I want to put the power box at one end and not in the center

LED Lights like this are sold in reels, for this it would be 2 25ft reels of LED lights, you can find adapters to connect two reels together on the same power box though.

I want to cut it. where do I get additional power supplies?

The strip remaining after cutting can only be connected back to the RGB strip, and cannot be directly connected to power supplies.

If you plug these into a switched outlet, will they come on when the switch is flipped or is the only way to turn them on/off is with the app?

You can control it from the switched outlet and the app.

Can it be trimmed to fit the right size?

It's possible to cut RGB strip light along the golden mark. Please note that if you cut it, the rest of the strip won't be working without electrical power, unless reconnected with 4-pin connectors(NOT included).
