Gears of War 4: Prima Official Guide

I never use players guides because I love to hunt for items myself. With that said I have to give some back story I have gears 2to4 guides i don't have the first gears guide. I fell in love with the Gears of war franchise and I preorder the game not knowing what it was going to be. I made the noob mistake. After seeing a few screen shots I put it in my Gamestop online basket not knowing anything else forgot about it. So the day it came out I was playing superman returns just as I'm yelling at myself For letting Quake and the RTS lord of the rings game go for the second worse superman game. Then at of the blue I get a knock knock knock ups. The lady put gears of war in my hand and I pop it in BOOM!! Instant fan. Many nights were filled with war zone gridlock. To finish this off by saying a few of my friends pointed out how you could make a D&D tabletop game because after I was given the gears2 guide for free we made our characters cog gear, Cole, Marqus, Dom, and Baird took up for the class you use in D&D. If you like classic paper&pencils games get these and create your own squad of four and venture to Sera.

Book provides eGuides for GoW 1-4 which is a nice bonus. It does not provide one for GoW Judgment. The book is well made with half glossy and half matte from graphics. The binding looks great on the shelf. There are some reviews criticizing the paper quality. I compared it to many of my other collector's editions and it seems comparable. Not bad at all and definitely on the higher end. The book provides lot of content for the reader in regards to tips for multiplayer and getting through the campaign. Is it necessary? In my opinion all of these guides are just fan service. Great for collectors and but the information can easily be found online for free. Lastly, there are two DLC codes for Gears Packs which is worth at least $4.99 per pack (thus $10). So, if you paid $32 like me, $10 is for the DLC. This puts it in line with the cost of normal hardcover guides. The fact that I got three extra eGuides for free...that's just gravy.

Prima has always made the most solid strategy guides but for a game this short (but fun) this thing is like a novel. It is super thick. I am still wondering why I do not see a strategy guide for Dead Rising 4 yet. I have gotten used to just going to the internet now when I get stuck unlike the old days of having to have the damn guide in your lap while you play so solid guide for sure but really cumbersone and in this day age of the interwebs perhaps they could have saved a tree.

The guide arrived a day sooner than expected,in excellent shape and was the actual official guide (not a rip off user made guide,like what happened to my brother when he tried getting what he thought was a Final Fantasy guide and turned out to be some printed paper stapled together,read about the product as thoroughly as possible),no complaints here.

It's Ok. The guide itself is great quality if you get the hardcover format. I honestly but this thinking that I would have access to not only the DLC codes for the Gear Packs but complete soundtrack of Gears of War 4. I literally only got 2 tracks which I ask Prima Games about which responded that was all the content that they were provided.Great guide tho!

If you love Gears of War 4, you have to get this amazing collector's edition.It is packed with great info on missions and target objectives. Also, it coversonline multiplayer maps as well. What are you waiting for? Order it now!

a must for the campaign maps and some other multiplayer stuff. Beats getting the real book and beats looking on the internet for these answers

It's a solid book and a pretty good purchase if you're a hardcore fan of Gears of War and includes Maps but the paper quality is very poor for a collector's edition strategy guide It's rather cheap and it feels it

A really nice guide, with a complete walkthrough of the campaign, and the location of all the collectibles (though I found one or two small errors on their location on the maps). They give you tips on how to proceed in the campaign, quite usefull in the higher difficulties. They even include some ideas on how to best proceed if you are playing the campaign in co-op.And an impressive description of all the multiplayer elements of the game from the different modes available (King of the Hill, Deathmatch, Horde 3.0,...), to the weapons, classes and even a whole section on mastering the new ways you can move your character to be as efficient as a ninja in a 150 pounds armor.All that in a nice hardcover book. I did find a couple of pages a bit blurry but out of 320, that's fine.And on top of that, you get all the e-guides for gears 1 to 4 (minus judgment as already stated) and a cool set of dog-tags!Good job prima.

Excellent guide. Full of all the information needed to complete the game. Great free gift - A cog dog tag chain. Also some in game dlc via redemption on the prima site.Clear pictures. Quality pages.

Brilliant book, great artwork and i loved The the history part of the Gears Of War story, It's well worth the money!!!, And i would recommend this to any serious collector, like myself.

A great guide for this game. Provides tactics for all the game modes and how to put all the weapons to good use
