Mini error light? - here is your cure
So all the rear lamps on your R56 mini work right? But the dash tells you lamp out? Really odd and very frustrating. At my wits end as the lamps were all working 100% - changed these lampholders and bingo no more fault light on dash. For just a few £'s it saved a trip to the BMW workshop. Tip - to change these don't try from inside boot - you'll cut your hands. The chrome trim on the outside of the lamp can-be prised off (carefully) and this reveals 4 screws which allow the whole lamp unit to come out. There are plastic lugs top and bottom that need squeezing in to allow complete removal but its all easy stuff.

Perfect fit
Replaced the existing bulb holder in my R57 COOPER CONVERTIBLE. These light fittings have a habit of overheating and melting the housing. Removal of light cluster and circuit board plus a little trimming with a craft knife and now working perfectly!
