PennPursuit IV Spinning Rod and Reel Combo - Saltwater Lure Fishing Fishing Setup for Seabass, Bass, Pollack, Wrasse, Black Silver

Bought this Penn rod and reel on the advise given by a friend who already had one. I wanted something that would be light and easy to use and that I could transport easily in my motorhome. Have used it quite a few times and it performs very well. Casting easily with various lures. It also performs well once you hook up. Very good value for money.

The build quality itself is really good and it’s super light. Casting for a few hours will be easy. It I had a nice glossy black finish with silver accents.The only downside is it’s a 2500 reel. It doesn’t actually state the size of the reel on the description but I assumed it was a 3000 size reel due to one of the photos showing so but I’m gonna hazard a guess that was for the bigger rod combos. I went for the 2.13m/10-40g casting eight combo which only included a 2500, not a 3000. It would be 5 stars if this was more clear.

A perfect rod for the price. Good weight and easy to transport with the size of it. Quality is perfect considering price you’re paying.

Seen other reviews with broken rods but thought would chance my luck and loan behold came broke and with no reel and it’s a combo

Used this rod for the first time. Casting off and the tip snapped clean off. Poor quality for what I thought was a good known brand.

Served a purpose

Took son beach fishing and got the usual teenage moans and groans about arms tired etc… so bought him this instead and he loves it! Personally I hate it due to spending too much money on lure’s now 😡 Hate it even more when his first bass was bigger than my personal best. Never gonna hear the end of that 😡All joking aside it’s a great rod and reel and it’s got my son hooked 😂 on fishing now so what more could a father ask for? Oh maybe if they did a pink version for my daughter who’s feeling a little left out 🤷‍♂️😂
