Outstanding
This story explores Captain James Hook's life, highlighting his struggle against time. As a child, he ventured to Never Land and has been longing to return ever since.Having read all of Serena Valentino's Villains series, I can confidently say they are phenomenal, and this one is no different! The author’s incredible storytelling always makes me sympathize with the villain, sometimes even rooting for them! The book dives deep into Hook’s life before his return to Never Land and his rivalry with Peter Pan, where the classic tale begins. It’s a narrative filled with yearning, ambition, and regret. By the end, Hook’s character is so well-developed that I couldn’t help but cheer for him while strongly disliking Peter Pan! The final twist is absolutely breathtaking, completely reshaping your perspective of Never Land.Another outstanding masterpiece by Serena Valentino!

Another great book in this series!
This is a story about a man who never wanted to grow up. It tells of the life of Captain James Hook, a man who visited Never Land once as a little boy, and has wanted to get back ever since.I have read each of Serena Valentino’s Villain books in this series and each one has been excellent. This one doesn’t disappoint! The author has such a unique storytelling ability that never fails to get me empathizing with a villain; sometimes even routing for them!A lot of this story focuses on Hook’s life before returning to Never Land and taking Peter Pan as his nemesis (at which point, we know the rest of the story). It is a story about wishing, wanting, and regret. Hook’s character is so well developed by the end of the story, that the author easily got me routing for Hook and kind of despising Peter Pan! And by the end, a fabulous twist that will turn your idea of Neverland on it’s head!Another fabulous book by Serena Valentino!

Absolutely Brilliant!
Lookie lookie, she got hookie. Robin Williams fans will recognize that as what Rufio said when he thought he had beaten Captain Hook. So many movies have been made about Peter Pan and Captain Hook, but none has been as surprising as Never Never.Personally, I have never been much of a Disney fan. But, oh, how I love the Disney Villains! Serena Valentino’s brilliance never ceases to amaze me. Each book in her series tells the story of the villain – how s/he became a villain, more specifically. Never Never quickly became one of my favorites.Captain James Hook’s evolution from an aristocratic upbringing in London to Peter Pan’s nemesis is quite the tale. As with all the Disney Villain books, the Odd Sisters are instrumental in Hook’s evolution. Never Never even explains how Captain Hook’s actions set off a chain reaction resulting in more villains. The reader is reminded that each Disney Villain may have his or her own story, but each story is connected.Serena Valentino’s much anticipated Never Never does not disappoint. The author provides the perfect mixture of ingredients to create a delicious blend of good and evil. Never Never is a page turner from start to finish. I can hardly wait to see where Serena Valentino takes us next.Absolutely brilliant!!

Lost Pirate
We're back once again for another addition to the villain series, and this time is no other than the most desired snack of Tick-Tock the crocodile, The owner of The Jolly Roger and Peter Pan's biggest nemesis................CAPTAIN JAMES HOOOK!. The Peter pan movie is one of the classics and its villain as well. I'm glad I was able to connect so much with Jame's character. I'm actually impressed with serena valentino of how incredible it is that she can show us the more pure and innocent side of the most malicious characters in disney while still making it totally realistic and credible. As always I'll try to be as briefly as possible and take those little details to the light.SpoilersAt the start of the story we meet James; not captain hook, he didn't even have his pirate name at that time. It was refreshing to see a more kind and hopeful of captain hook aside of the crazy and inpatient that we met on Peter pan. I really liked the fact that James used to be a lost boy it gives more emotion to the character and it explains a lot of why captain hook decided to travel to never land in the first place. I liked a lot the fatherly view that the author gave to smee, I mean it make sense.smee always was different from the other pirates he seemed to care more for James and making him close to James since an young age makes it so realistic. The addition of black beard surprised me i wasn't expecting it but it was definitely enjoyable to see how he and James relationship grew throughout the book.James interaction with the odd sisters, circe, primrose, and haysol was amusing for me it was so funny and I loved how much circe and gothel's sisters cared for James and at the same time gave him the freedom to choice his path. The odd sisters made me so infuriated for ruin hooks life , and also Peter pan but thats for later. I want to talk about the the rapunzel flowers; it was surprised for me that the author decided to make them grow all through out Morningstar kingdom. I could imagine how beautiful it looked i wish there was an illustration. I loved the introduction of ms tiddlebotom it was lovely to see her again since the odds sisters book. Now back to james. I felt so bad for him. He didn't deserve to be treated as he was. I always hated the lost boys and Peter pan but now I hate them more. James was so eager with getting back to never land but all he got was hate and contempt. Almost at the end of the book there was a scene of James talking to Peter pan; he told James that it was all planned bathe odd sisters and him and that he did for the only reason that he needed a villain for his games. That made my blood boil and I could imagining James' face of disappointment. He decided that if Peter wanted a wicked pirate he was gonna get it. He didn't just lose his family because of Peter but his freedom and hand. He became captain hook.I want to talk about the boots , i loved how those boots turned james into the coward pirate that we know, taking away the clever guy that we met at the start. Its just a great detail.James turned from a the naive and clever guy to a Cowardly and mad Captain hook. You did it again serena valentino. Loved it
