What do I know about oil filters? I have lost count of the hundreds of vehicles and other pieces of equipment that I have changed oil and filters on over the past six decades. Most of these have been done using FRAM filters. Why do I use FRAM? It has to do with availability, affordability, and reliability. I have always been able to find FRAM, and they are always reasonably priced compared to the other brands. Most importantly, I have never had a FRAM filter fail. They fit, they seal, and they do their job filtering the oil. Do I ever ask them to go above and beyond? No, I don't. That is because I take care of my engines and change the oil and filter when I should. Do I spend a bit more than I need to? Probably, but I make up for it by doing the service myself and not having to overhaul or replace a very pricey engine. But even if you are one of the less handy folks who are forced to take your vehicle into a service center or, worse yet, a stealership, regular oil changes are cheaper than the alternative.TLDR: Take care of your engine and buy FRAM filters!

This filter has some big advantages, on a Honda Element installation: mostly that it is light colored and has the grip surface. The last filter I installed , from another well known maker, was black and smooth. Since the best way to deal with the impossible positioning of the filter on the engine is to reach over the top and -way- down ,I had to use lots of light to find, and gloves to remove the darn thing: Fram has got this beat. I've used their orange filters for years, the industry standard, good price on Amazon.

Its a filter. It does its job as a filter. It is easy to put on and take off. Thats pretty much everything you want in a filter.Dont over think it. Replace your oil when the car tells you to. Replace the filter EVERY TIME.My Civic loves these.

Based on on-line review of people who had the required equipment and made jigs to perform tests on oil filters. These filters exceed the OEM specs for many filters but still allow good flow, you don't want to restrict the flow. I feel that is very important. Using for a few years now, have had no issues with them ever leaking after torqueing to them to factory spec. I don't send the filters out nor the oil out for testing, as I don't own the car since it was new. I use this filter with good quality synthetic oil and change every 5k miles. I cannot do better than that.

I only use fram for my car. Price beat Wal-Mart

Great filter for my 07 odyssey, 16 HR-V and 16 Civic 2.0.Fit and finish is great. I hope it filters great too. I change oil every 3000 miles, so doesn't really matter in my case what filter to use. But I'm going to stick to this brand and model.

These are not the junk orange fram filters. These are very well made if you watch YouTube videos. Fit was perfect easy to remove thanks to the grip on the end. They do a great job filtering. Price here is great!
