Navdy – Heads Up Display & GPS Navigation - Stay Connected with Maps, Calls, Texts & Music Projected Through Your Windshield

Love this product. Can work "hands free" while I travel, reviewing e-mails, participating in phone conference while navigating in unfamiliar territory with live traffic data and off-line maps. I am a former Naval officer. The compact clear screen with bright lettering is similar to (and maybe better than) those used on jets flown by Navy fighter pilots and provides all the data you need without taking your eyes off the road. Safe, compact and comprehensive. Got my first one 8 months ago. Bought a 2nd one for my other car in June. I also like the fact that they are providing regular updates to continually improve the product and data provided.

So Navdy is everything it says it is and less. No doubt, it is a clever integration of car, map and phone information. It works very well, most of the time and when it doesn't, it pretty well auto recovers down the road. On that basis, maybe four stars. But wait, there is more (less).I bought my unit from Amazon four months ago. First month, installation went well, documentation is good and a new firmware update went smoothly. Month two sailed along ok but by month three, the battery in the dial died. Ok, replaced it. One week later, battery dead. Replaced that. Two days later, battery dead. Bought fresh batteries and now, like clockwork, a new battery is required every 24 hours (known good batteries). And that takes us to customer technical service which is non-existent. Multiple calls, multiple emails and finally a cryptic email back that says Navdy will send out a new dial, but it might be a while. That was more than a while ago. You can't get anyone to answer the phone at Navdy. These guys are just not ready for prime time. Why is there no zero star rating possible for something that costs $400 and gets no support when there is a legitimate problem? I give this Zero Stars anyway.Update ten days later--Thankful for Amazon. Still no signs of life at Navdy; Called Amazon and true to their name, Amazon customer support is amazing. Took the time to try to figure out options for me even though this is NOT their problem. Even they could not get anyone at NAVDY, so they offered me a full refund. Bottom line, NAVDY is terrible, beyond hope. Amazon to the rescue

First thing I noticed was the packaging and device came neatly packaged and secure, reminds me of another great companies packaging. The device looks well built and well designed, it is simple but functional just what you need while driving.Set-up was simple and straight forward, within 15 minutes it was turned on and walking me through its set-up. The product came with several different mounting pieces allowing for a perfect mount for almost any application, since i installed mine in a van the different mounting options were helpful as my dashboard and windshield are a bit awkward. The steering wheel dial mounted nicely, I was impressed with the strap design and connection, it works and no wires! The dial when positioned correctly is simple and comfortable to use with your thumb and center button making scrolling easy and instant with no delay between the dial and device.This device and its features are a perfect fit for me, my vehicle needed a little technology and this product provides everything in one device with the GPS/Mapping, Music, Phone connect & vehicle instrument panel which is kind of cool. The Navdy allows me to be truly hands free across the board. The music option does not work for me yet, i will need to get a bluetooth stereo before i can take advantage of this option.Notification Glances, this feature along with GPS are the two most important feature for me. I drive a lot for work and being able to see the map and email/text notifications at a glance help me stay informed without having to look down or pull over. The display lens is almost undetectable and the projection is crisp in direct sunlight making for an easy visual on information. Hand gesture sensor is seamless, work every time. I did notice some reviews stating delays in the GPS/Map before i purchased and i have yet to experience this, so far so good!I am excited for future versions in hopes of it having a speaker/mic for phone use so i can eliminate the headphones and possibly a forward facing camera recording in case of an event otherwise i think this is a great quality product.

I never write reviews, but felt this is very important. Package arrived fine, very quick. Set it all up, that was fine. It all worked great until I updated it (to a non beta version). I could not get it to connect! I tried wiping the Navdy, tried wiping my iphone x, everything. I also work in IT, so I tried a lot. Just found out that there is a lot of talk on the internet about Navdy going into liquidation. When I emailed customer services they sent the followingHey there,Thanks for writing in.Currently, there are no updates planned for the Navdy software. This means that issues which may exist today will persist indefinitely.The basic troubleshooting steps (reinstalling the software) is your best bet for software issues. Specifically for bluetooth pairing, most of the time re-pairing the devices fix the issues. Bluetooth permissions can be tricky when in a car as various devices compete for the car's control, but re-pairing should help.Unfortunately, hardware replacements won't be possible as we have depleted our stock fulfilling orders and replacements already.I appreciate your understanding in the matter and apologize for the inconvenience.Chris

Es ist auch nicht besser oder schlechter als andre Angebote HUD Angebote. Der einzige Unterschied ist das annehmen von Gesprächen über ein Wischbewegung. und die Auswahl an Befestigungen. Ob das aber den Preis gerechtfertigt ?

1.- The crystal base of my hud arrived at home damaged. I hope it will resist because there is no more accessories in the Internet (included this seller).2.- Each time NAVDY speaks makes my car ends the phrase spoken the sentence "call ended". I.E.- "Turn on the right" (NAVDY using my speakers) "call ended" (a return of my car by my speakers)3.- An after 2 weeks it does not work anymore. I request a replacement and I received a second hand device without some pieces:suction base, tall stem and medium stem... VERY DISAPPOINTED.4.- Yes, the NAVDY was a dream but a very short one.
