Sperry Men's 7 Seas 3-Eye Boating Shoe

I’m a longtime Sperry boat shoe fan as an avid boater. These shoes are great looking, lightweight, and the fit is true to size.

My husband & I are going on two trips next year that will require water shoes. They will also require hiking to the water. One of the trips may even require walking through water to get to the destination. I didn't want to carry water shoes and possibly be switching back and forth so decided to try these that looked like hybrids. I ordered a pair for myself to try them out. They are exactly what I was hoping they would be, comfortable and very light weight but look like a regular shoe. I liked them so much that I asked my husband if he wanted me to order a pair for him to try. He said "yes." Now that he has tried them on, he loves them, too, and believes they will be perfect for what we need them for.We ordered a half size smaller than we usually wear, as was recommended by others, and they fit perfectly!

I haven't gotten to take them out on the boat yet, but so far I really like them and fell like they'll do great. They definitely aren't my kind of every day sheos, but from what I can tell the traction is spectacular, even wet. They are also light and breathable. They fit is a little weird though. Seems like the soul is as expected, but the covering\mesh\(whatever the top is called) is a little big. I've not tried going down a 1/2 size, because I fear the soul will be too small (resulting in destabilization of balance).

I wear Sperry shoes nearly 100% of the time; and I needed to replace a pair of really old sneakers. So, I was very pleased to find that Sperry has a sneaker-like product that has a 360 lacing feature. That feature is a big plus in a shoe fitting my foot. As much as I like my other Sperrys, I have not had these off since they arrived about a week ago. Personally, I think they are also very nice looking.

I bought these to wear on our cruise and they ended up being my daily shoes. Very nice and well made.

First I ordered these in gray, a very good looking shoe. Used to having true Sperry boat shoes these are more of a lace up shoe— and therein is the rub. Both the gray shoes and the newer blue shoes now have broken eyelets. Naturally they came from from different sellers and who hangs on to boxes for a couple of weeks to make sure they pass muster? So now I’m going to find an awl and make a pair of new holes for each shoe. Good lord! And I’m not rough on shoes—71 years old and grew up with saddle soap and subsequent shoe polish, my shoes were like my sales—outstanding! These leave much to be desired. I’ll soldier on but you don’t have to as I’m warning you now about their pitfalls..good looking but a pain in the ass. Hmmmm, like so many other things.
