Hill & Sons Varnish Cleaner, 2 oz.

I have a cloudy area below the bridge that's caused by rosin deposit. This bottle managed to clean that up nicely. The violin varnish was bright almost like new and rosin was gone. Good product. Will buy again when needed.

I use just a Bab or two to clean rosin dust buildup from my bow sticks and the top plate of my instruments. I also use it to clean hand oils and dirt buildup from the neck and pegs. Also good for cleaning up the fingerboard (without touching the strings).

I have a very nice older Knilling violin around $1,500 brand new in its day. I use this once in a while to clean and buff my violin. Makes it look like new.

Just what we were looking for works really well

Did a good job of removing the caked-on rosin but it took some elbow grease to do it. I have now gotten into the habit of using it twice a month and ALWAYS remember to wipe down your instrument after playing. Unless you LIKE your precious fiddle to look like it has a severe case of dandruff.

I am notoriously lazy when it comes to cleaning my double bass. When I ordered Hill’s I was a bit put off by the price for such a small bottle. Friends, it took just a few drops to completely remove months of built up rosin dust, and the bass looks great! Love this product.
