TUNISIAN Crochet - Vol. 1: Basic & Textured Stitches [Tornack-Zimmermann, Petra] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. TUNISIAN Crochet - Vol. 1: Basic & Textured Stitches Review: Nice stitch book - I like that there are many different stitches to learn. the directions are clear. My only thought for improvement for crochet books is to put them on a ring binding instead of a traditional binding because it is easier for the crafter to use so it will lay flat. It's a nice book to learn by though. Review: Great Book! - Love this Book! Easy to learn new stitches and patterns!

Nice stitch book
I like that there are many different stitches to learn. the directions are clear. My only thought for improvement for crochet books is to put them on a ring binding instead of a traditional binding because it is easier for the crafter to use so it will lay flat. It's a nice book to learn by though.

Meh
This book is fair for the cost and is what it says.

Great Reference Book
The book is well written and does cover some basic Tunisian Crochet, but this book is not for a beginner, but a great reference book. One should have some basic crochet knowledge and basic Tunisian Crochet Stitches under their belt, before proceeding into the world of Tunisian Crochet. What improvements would I recommend, is to fix the pagination, so the information aligns better. One needs to remember that the pagination for a regular book is different than an e-book.

Unclear and not beginner friendly
I'm a quick learner and I am good at following jumpy trains of thought, but the descriptions in this book are rough and hard to understand. There are photos of what the stitch patterns look like finished, but in the descriptions it seems like steps are completely omitted. At one point, the author describes the purl stitch in the exact same way as the tunisian simple stitch except for saying that the "working yarn is in front" (there is a very hard to see arrow on the image and I have no idea what it means, she offered no more explanation on how to orient the yarn/work or anything) The pattern says to chain, then work sts off the hook, then just crochet a row of purl. Not super helpful since I have no idea what a purl is lol. It reads as if it says "to purl just purl" bahah I would if i knew how. I'll figure it all out after youtube searching-- and then the pattern charts will be very helpful reference (hence the three stars), but for now I feel like I've somehow forgotten how to comprehend english. I read the steps over and over and they just don't make sense. Alas.

I really like this book that I downloaded from Kindle
I really like this book that I downloaded from Kindle. I had bought a book that did not help at all in learning Tunisian. The only pictures were the finished product!. TUNISIAN CROCHET has pictures of the steps for each stitch and little lines that show where your hook should travel through the stitch. I am learning all the basic stitches and a few special stitch patterns. There are more than 25 different stitches and patterns of stitches. There are directions for a few projects at the back of the book. I would recommend this book to anyone from beginners to Tunisian to those who are experienced to learn new stitches or patterns of stitches. I intend to purchase Volume 2 after I do a few more projects.

Excellent little book.
When I first opened the package I thought this would be a big disappointment because it is so small, but, boy was I wrong. It might be only thirty-some pages, but there are two and usually three stitches on each and every page, as well as full-color photos, written instructions and charts for each, so there is plenty to keep you learning for a long time. It's obvious that the people who gave it bad reviews have not really taken a good look at its contents. It's definitely worth the price. I'm already looking forward to getting the second book, and the third when it comes up on Amazon. This will take my crocheting to a whole new level.

Bra skriftliga instruktioner, tyvärr är bilderna inte av bra kvalitet så svårt att se vissa saker som instrueras med bild

Seems ok but very few pages and big writing for the price. I wish they extended into more information about materials for example.. I preordered another book about tunisian crochet and it has 176 pages for 20 euros. I hope it will fill out the lack in this one

I bought this book to learn a few Tunisian crochet stitches. The content itself is generally okay and useful, but the overall value is undermined by the quality and quantity. Only 36 pages — far too slim for the price — and the production feels budget: soft/blurry photos, weak contrast, and thin, low-grade paper (Amazon KDP print). With such limited page count and modest print quality, this title shouldn’t cost more than 4$. The current pricing feels disproportionate to what you get. For comparison, I own this book https://www.amazon.pl/dp/1800921268?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title — 170 pages, excellent paper, sharp images, and high-quality print. It offers several times more material while maintaining superior presentation. “TUNISIAN Crochet – Vol. 1” reads more like a pamphlet than a full book: the text is acceptable, but the sparse length and subpar images make it less helpful in practice. If you care about clear, sharp visuals and a more substantial volume for learning, consider alternatives. Bottom line: decent content, but too few pages and disappointing print quality. Overpriced for what it offers.
