Q: Can this heat tape for granite around cooktop

It can be but this tape has fiberglass in it so you may not want to have it near any food being cooked.

Q: Will this work and stay on a cracked John Deere tractor hood if used on top and inside hood?

While the tape is adhesive, it's primarily used for heat deflection or reflection. The areas I have used it on it has stayed, but I would offer the consideration of going with a more structural tape. Just a suggestion.

Q: Is this the right product for protecting water pipes during winter?

No, it is the insulation of pipes in the engine compartment of a car. And and doesn't have very good glue.

Q: can one wrap exhaust manifold with this tape?

We recommend using a vermiculite-treated fiberglass wrap (like Newtex's ZetexPlus Exhaust Header Heat Wrap, available on Amazon) or a basalt wrap (like Newtex's Z-Rock 2.0" Exhaust/Header Wrap & Pipe Tape, also available on Amazon) due to the temperature requirements of this application.
