Q: How low can the cell phone get to the table or counter top? I need it to use the iPhone magnifier for some small craft work.

It can get really low. It can not get really high.

Q: How much weight can the overhead phone monut bear?

I don’t know. Unfortunately, the stability was an issue. The cellphone grip also did not hold tightly. Tried to return, but was a gift and we passed return date.

Q: Is the phone stand for recording handsfree video?

Yes! I use it to recording my tutorials and it’s excellent . I can adjuste it any angle what i want,but sometime I must use weights to hold the leg frame down. I am completely satisfied with this product .

Q: Wil it hold a phone with a case?

Yes,it can hold all smartphones with a width of 3.9 inches (9.3CM), even if the phones case is installed. In the video, use iphone12 to demonstrate the operation.
