As a mom you fear the worst and so keeping this with me at all times just soothes my anxiety. I haven’t used it or had the need to use it and I’m hoping it stays that way but it definitely gives me a sense of security.

My 2 year old has this hang up with putting things in his mouth when he is teething dr said it is normal. However he will try to swallow whatever it is causing him to choke. Even with his snacks he crams too much in at one time next thing I know I am forced to reach in fear of the worst and clear his mouth and visually inspect to see if I can locate the object lodged with. I have medical training from my 8 plus years in medical field however everything goes out crazy when it is your baby. I purchased this for I I am not home and my husband with no medical background, and out 2 way older children are able to utilize it if something were to ever happen. They all were well informed and have all practiced it since we got it. Also we showed our toddler it and practiced on him so if that moment should ever come he hopefully can not panic anymore then he would be already. (By practice I mean fitted mask to his face as this comes with 2 sizes, and put to his face demonstrated to others how to use it if the worst should occur, and role played out instructions, showed where it would be at if it happens and where if they forget how to use it the instructions are listed on the side of the tool) I deducted a star for single use but 2 masks. I find that if we have to use it 1time, that would be enough to have to buy more, as it is single use, and insurance feeling of security. The smallest fits my 2 year old the other size fits my 2 older children 9 and 11, also fits myself. Not my husband though. All in all it would be worth the added security feeling to have some peace of mind while I am not home, and they are.

When deciding on this product I was thinking “do I really need to spend $40 on something I will hopefully never use?” One statement from someone else’s review really stuck out in my mind. YOU CANT PUT A PRICE ON PEACE OF MIND. It’s the God’s honest truth, especially when it comes to our children. I am a mother of a 2yr old who will barely bite into anything. If I give him something he thinks that whole piece goes into his mouth. It’s scary. So having this product gives me peace of mind. I can breathe a bit easier at mealtimes. I can sleep a little better at night. And that really is PRICELESS! I can’t speak on if it actually works. I hope I can never truly speak on that and I hope and pray that if I need to use it that it actually does. But after I inspected it, read all the directions and tested the suction on my husbands arm. I can say that it seems like it would work. And it doesn’t seem hard to use at all. Which is what we need in a product like this, simplicity. I don’t care how much training we get. You get into an emergency situation and all those steps you studied can go right out the window and your left w a jumble of what you do remember in your panic of the situation and what’s happening in front of your eyes to a loved one.This says one use but that is only for sanitary reasons. It is not like it CANT be used again. But hopefully nobody needs to use something like this once in there life let alone multiple times.Another thing I liked specifically about this brand is it didn’t have the tongue depresser which I read can cause other issues. Obviously they would be the lesser of the issues but if you have the option to lower issues and pain, than why not.I’m very happy I bought this product. I didn’t even know such a thing existed. But I am so glad I discovered it. Again….you can’t put a price on peace of mind.
