I noticed the same thing on several potato items. Definitely not correct price per ounce, but it is not likely sellers will correct it as it gives them an advantage.

Hello, Our mashed potatoes are prepared using only boiling water, so yes, you can boil the water in a microwave and then add it to the potato flakes.

Q: How many bags in it ?

There are 12 bags per box. They r so close to homemade, it's amazing.
