I personally would rather have it a little big then a little small! My kids love dressing up in their costumes all year after Halloween is over so I always try to order a little loose. And this suit is designed to be a little looser for comfort anyway so I would definitely go with 1-2.

my son is kind of on the small side and short he is now three and it still fits him legs are a little short on him but it should be good if your only wanting for a one time use. if you wanna get two years out of it I would go a size bigger
