Q: Does the footbed absorb sweat? My feet can sweat a lot in humid climate, would prefer a footbed that doesn't "soak up" or absorb sweat and get nasty.

Living in the south I understand where you're coming from, it gets very hot here and I've noticed whether out and about or at a pool, moisture tends to wick and evaporate as well as absorb a bit too. It's a bit of both. I've had them for about a month and they've seen decent use yet they still have that leather/rubber smell to them, not at all musky. Honestly though if you're that concerned about absorption, Polo has a very nice set of slides I almost considered getting instead of these. They have the hardened rubber soles that absorb nothing at all, but the setback is they're nowhere near as comfortable as the Olukai's and your feet tend to slip and slide while wearing them. The Olukai's on the other hand, form to the shape of your feet over time and fit like a glove as mine have began to do. Keep reading more reviews and make the best decision for you!!

The Velcro strap is adjustable so as far as the top i’d Say yes. For the sole they are probably generous medium. Not much help but best I can answer your question.

I think they're the same. The pair I bought (labeled M) was definitely not a wide size.

Q: Be careful the "slide" is not leather. that slide is the nalu model. the upper is full synthetic. can you clarify?

It is a synthetic and far easier to maintain and care for than leather!
