I have had two strainers in small and medium size for a very long time (probably 20 years!), since I lived in Italy, which I used for anything, from sifting cocoa powder onto desserts, to straining lemon or juice, or warm milk, etc.I accidentally used one of them recently to strain oil, from one pan to another, that was still hot from because of overheating it, and had some bits on bottom. I didn’t realize it was too warm, and shrunk one of them (LOL!).🤦🏻‍♀️So I found these, which come from Italy, exactly same type/style as the ones I have/had.The large one is very large (you could strain a small batch of pasta-though I wouldn’t!), it’ll work well for a large can of beans or something like that.The medium is perfect for a lot of other uses, and the small one fits perfectly in a glass, if you were staining your orange juice in the morning, or even a small can of tuna.They strain well as the mesh is tight, and wash easy, even on dishwasher top rack only, and so far no left staining from food.Being all nylon, there’s no rust coming from mesh or the handle, so they’ll last a long time. And they nest well even with my other one, so now I have 4 sizes including my older one.Can’t beat the price either. 👍🏼They arrived tight wrapped and not deformed by it.

Use these for kefir grains that should not be in contact with metal. Perfect for this purpose.

Could not find a replacement strainer anywhere that was affordable. turned to Amazon and within minutes my wife found a 3-pack that was most affordable!

These things are so small! Will not be able to use for what I bought them for.

I was surprised at the quality of these strainers because of some of the negative reviews. They are beautiful and made of translucent plastic, not what I would have called “cheap plastic,” like some other reviewers did, and they have an excellent shape and bowl. My other white ones that are so highly rated on amazon are rippled and saggy and can be difficult to get the liquid into a smaller container as I am straining kefir grains, but these are shaped and curved so well, that isn’t a problem. This is a really fine mesh, so it is good for my water kefir. I still use the saggy white ones for the milk kefir because it is so thick.
