Excellent Device
I've owned 3 Pella Sliding doors for over 20 years and they have been great doors. Even though they come with simple thumb latches to secure the door (as well as foot latches) which for years has been fine for daily use. One can always add a 3' wooden dowel rod on the floor on the opposite hand to help with add'l security but that''s a pain too....however, now you also have a billy club to beat up who's ever broken in the house, or THEY have a billy club if you don't get to it first. Now, these thumb latches are OK, BUT they provide no opportunity for the Owner to enter the door from the outside. Which is a pain if you have to keep walking around the house to get back in. Pella does provide a Key lock mechanism if one orders it at the time you buy the door, but I didn't. Besides, what happens to Keys?... Also, KeyLocks can be picked! Well, I won't bore you with all the research and physical searches I've done to find something that will accomplish the tasks I wanted. IE; A Secure lock for the Inside, and Access from the OUTSIDE... Well this CODACE Mechanical lock has done the trick. It is very well built, sturdy, and fully adjustable. Changing from Left hand to Right hand is a simple manner of removing a threaded locking pin in the back, from one position to the other position. The setting of the push buttons to set you Combination is simple as well. Remember this device is for a Sliding Door, which demands a deadbolt latch that is unique since again this is a sliding door latch. Swing doors are easy, there are tons of options for them, but very limited options for Sliders. Well, again this device certainly appears to have all the components to meet the task. My only complaint is the screws that hold the Strike Plate, are minimal, only 3 threads? But that is easily solved with 2-1/5" inch screws. I wanted to mount the Strike Plate into the door frame stud. They provide excellent Templates to follow to drill the right size holes. Also Since my exiting door is 1.75 inches thick, and the way it marries to the Aluminum frame assembly for weather proofing, I needed to add a 9/16" cherry wood plate (see photo) so that I could mount the Strike Plate into Solid wood on the interior side of the Weather Stripping. First install took about 2 hours as I had to determine the position of the Strike Plate and the thickness of the wood plate to mount the inside half of the assembly. Otherwise it's a very straight forward dead bolt install. The second install took 25 minutes. Good Luck....PS my third door has a Key lock, which I intend to change very soon.

Worked for about 4 months...now won't open
I really liked this lock. Clean look / design, simple, functional. But after about 4 months of use, the clear function doesn't work, which means you can't enter a code, which means you can't unlock it. Opened it up as per the instructions as if to change the combo, everything appears clean and normal.Super disappointed. Working for 4 months is obviously unacceptable. Unfortunately, I'm outside of my return window...now I have an expensive paper weight.Seller, do you have a fix??? Open to ideas.

Works with existing latches!
10/10 amazing lock. First to note, the keypad doesn't do codes in a certain order. You just select the numbers/letters you want and can push the buttons in any order to make it unlock.Installation: Honestly not too hard, but you will have to cut the screws and latch stick shorter, which isn't hard if you have a small handsaw or in my case an oscillating tool or zip wheel.First thing you'll want to do if your door won't work with the flush mount latches, is take out the flush mount latch. This will require that your door already has a latch cut into it, in my case an andersen lock was there. You'll have to drill new holes for mounting, but luckily the vinyl and wood of the door is easy to drill through and with the rubber seals it doesn't matter if the holes are a little big, they are clearance anyways. Put both sides of the new lock up to the door with the latch stick running between them and through the old latch. This is how you get your hole positions. Now before you assemble it, get the code set, pretty straight forward in the instructions, you will need a small flathead screwdriver. Get that squared away and move on to the assembly. This part is tricky and caused me some headache. Get the screw poked through the indoors portion of the lock, and place it through the holes you've drilled. Now it's positioned and ready for the outdoors half to go on. Put the latch stick in the rectangle hole in the outdoors portion and then stick it through existing latch and indoors half of the lock. IF THE SCREWS OR LATCH STICK ARE TOO LONG, MAKE A NOTE AND CUT THEM OFF. Do not force them together, you'll break stuff. Get it put together and there may be one last part.If it works now, great! I had to do a little more. I had to swap the latch plate for the small black one they sent and I had to adjust the stick put of the latch so it didn't pop back out after you unlock it. Then I had to cut a small notch into the outside of the door frame where the exterior handle can swivel into, because it's tight.Hope this helps any self installers out there, I'm not responsible if you break something lol.

Stop working when temperature gets higher somehow!
I really wanted to love this lock, there are few options on the market for keyless latch door lock. Over a year ago we gave it a shot, install was easy, the keyless function was nice, however, we noticed that once the temperature got to about 80F, it would stop working, the C button used to reset would stop engage with the whole lock. Either we had to try to push the C button hopefully it got to the point to unlock somehow, or only use it in autumn to winter. we suspect the spring inside is temperature sensitive. Wanna leave this feedback to the manufacture to get awareness on this issue.

Working well
Working well! If the two sides of the face don't align, use a metal between door and it. (like in the 3 attached pictures).

Only solution for sliding door
It’s a good lock. As noted in other reviews, the reset, mechanism, (C button), gets stuck, and won’t reset the combination buttons. I dismantled the whole lock and greased in the center sliding mechanism that is used to reset the lock. The spring pawls provide more friction than the reset spring can overcome. Seems to work better now.
