Must-Have workbook
Tanya Marshall has written a vocabulary book that every teacher, tutor, and parent needs in their educational arsenal. The instructions, definitions, and examples make learning fun, yet challenging for students and easy to understand for anyone working with children. The colorful, diverse graphics are an added bonus that help to keep student's attention while learning. This book is long overdue!

Watch for errors
Decent explanations of words. There are some errors in the activities that make it confusing and hard for my 5th grader to do independently. My daughter enjoys the workbook while my son does not and finds it frustrating and boring. It's okay as a supplement to a language arts curriculum or reading program.

Must have had misprint.
To the reviews that are stating that the book is wrong. It’s wrong it’s wrong it’s wrong. How dare they have it wrong. Is white obvious that you must have gotten a misprint or it was fixed. Just a HUMAN mistake. Mistakes happen. A good learning opportunity to show your kids that everyone makes mistakes and it’s up to everyone as a community to help each other out and not condemn other people for easily made mistakes.

So much more than a workbook!!!
I have to say I think the name of this book is misleading because it is sooooo much more than a workbook! It contains definitions and relevant descriptions for each skill. The author, Tanya G. Marshall, provides context and imagery in the explanations that enhances understanding and makes every concept so easy to remember, which ultimately helps students connect to even the most abstract content. The exercises help kids practice each skill before completing the interactive "Fun with Vocabulary" activities. As an ELA teacher, I wish this had been available when I started teaching because it would have made life so much easier for me and my students!! If you're looking for a resource that will help your child strengthen his/her vocabulary skills, limit summer learning loss, or just practice/review skills, this workbook is your answer!

Book is great but mistakes you should know about
This book is great! It's helping a first-generation American child who was having difficulty being on level in vocabulary. We're in the 3rd grade section so far, there are a few mistakes in the book that took me a while to figure out:The answers for the riddle on page 42 are using words learned back on pp 32 and 34.The riddle on 43 is asking for past-tense verbs (doesn't say). The crossword on 44 is using words back from pages 34 and 36 - and words not yet learned on page 46! (Therefore, I taught 46 first and then went back to the crossword.)

If you want your child upset, buy this workbook!
Overall this workbook has been great, however it has ERRORS. As a children's workbook it should have 0 errors especially since it's being used as a TEACHING tool. My child was working on just 3 exercises for hours and ended up crying over it because "she just couldn't figure it out." Lo and behold, the book was wrong. So far we have found issues in the grade 3 exercises 3.1 and 3.2 and the grade 4 exercise 1.1. Photos are attached.
