Perfect Kite Winder for Smooth, Easy Flying!
This kite string reel winder is absolutely fantastic! Made from sturdy PET transparent plastic, it’s built to last and feels much more solid and durable than other winder options out there. The bright color and hollow-carved design give it a sleek, stylish look that really stands out.The 2000ft twisted kite line is strong and reliable, and the 3-strand tire thread holds up incredibly well under tension, with a max load of 23kg. The high-speed steel bearing makes it smooth to wind and unwind, while the arc-shaped rotating ring pin adds an extra layer of precision when handling the line.I love the anti-reverse lock feature—it’s such a thoughtful design! You can lock the reel to prevent the line from slipping out when you don’t want it to, and the knotted end ensures the kite string stays in place even if you’re nearing the end of the line. The large gyro handle is comfortable and easy to use, making it a great choice for both beginners and experienced kite flyers. The grip size (3.5in x 2.5in) is perfect for both adults and kids, ensuring everyone can enjoy flying their kites without hassle.Overall, this kite reel winder is well-designed, durable, and incredibly easy to use. Highly recommend for anyone looking for smooth kite flying experiences. Plus, the after-sales service is great, so you can buy with confidence! 🪁

AMAZING Device I Never Thought I'd Want or Need
We decided to fly kites while camping on the bluffs over Crystal Cove, California. My kids are 40 years old, and it's been awhile.I bought two kites - one a 'dragon' the other some 'squid' lookin' thing.I bought two different spool/winder things - sent on back because it had plastic parts, then bought this one because it was a little more expensive. It is a better mousetrap - wider, sturdier, the handle, while it doesn't fold like the other two is just... bigger, better. At first, if you're not careful, they spin so easily that you're likely to let the string come off the side and wind up with a bird nest. The second time it was so bad I just cut away a couple yards of string and re-tied the hook. There was an onshore breeze all day and the kites just kind of flew like party balloons - to the delight of everyone even at other camp sites. Then, about 3pm, the wind started to change directions and the kites faltered - the larger one looked like it was going to plumet to the ground - and I had quite a bit of string out by that time. I grabbed the reel and wound it in so easily and quickly it stopped acting like it was going to fall out of the sky, and I wheeled it right up the reel. They both worked well - but of the two this was the better one. Totally recommend if you're going to go fly a kite.

Don’t leave home without it!
The media could not be loaded. As a seasoned adult (many, many seasons) I’m probably too old to be a new kite flier, but suddenly I’ve gone from zero kites to two and I suspect the collection will grow. What makes this possible is not having to run back and forth to launch the kites or keep them flying. I just use this well-made kite reel. My hands are adult-guy size but they fit in the hand grips on the reel. If you have larger hands you should look at the 9-inch version of this reel. The included line is strong and there’s a lot of it. Roller bearings and a big knob make it easy to pay out or retrieve line. It’s sturdily built and I don’t have to try to control a hard-pulling kite with bare hands on the string…a recipe for pain. I’m glad it has a lock to keep the reel from turning when you don’t want it to. Comes with a sturdy bag to carry it, which can be worn as a backpack. Also has a pair of one-size-fits-most gloves and a strap to let you fasten the reel to your chair or other immovable object to give you some hands-off flying time. TIPS: A) Check that the knot on the swivel at the kite end of the string is fully tied — mine had only a half-hitch which would have pulled apart if I hadn’t retied it; B) Wear at least one glove to cushion your hand in the reel. A big kite will tug hard and the glove protects from chafing; C) Don’t let go of the winding knob unless the lock is on OR unless you keep a gloved hand in contact with the reel to keep it from over-spinning. Over-spinning can cause the string to come off the reel and tangle. That won’t happen if you control the reel’s speed. I would buy it again, and probably will.

Works but too small for large hands
Works great but hand holds are too small. Ends up hurting my pinky and ring finger when reeling in and makes it difficult to hold in any wind.

Makes Kate flying easy
I love flying kites, and I had forgotten how hard it is to reel in a kite the old-fashioned way. These newfangled kite reels are fantastic! So easy! And they aren’t expensive at all. Get one for each of your kites. great value!

The string comes off the side of the wheel.
My granddaughter and I were so excited to be able to have our kites fly a thousand feet into the air but this thing kept unraveling off of the wheel and tangling up. So we just went back to the regular kite string that came with our kites. We were very disappointed.

Great Kite Handle! A necessity for larger kites!
The media could not be loaded. I LOVE these. I bought two, and swap them between several kites. For assembly: here is nothing to put together, you just attach it to your kite and go! It connects with a clip similar to what's used in fishing, it is easy to remove and attach. Cost wise, maybe a little bit of a splurge, but worth it considering how easy they make reeling in and out your kite. They are large enough that they are easy to handle but not too bulky. They make kite flying extra fun and easy, and come in really cute colors! The brake feature is really nice for keeping your kite set where you want it. However I wish it was easier to access/apply, I've seen others (more expensive) with a lever brake that seems like it'd be easier to apply than this one, which twists into place.Overall the item is a no trainer, easy to use, and a great purchase.Maybe consider some gloves or sleeves, or just be aware that if your kite takes off and gets away from you the plastic can cause a cut/burn, similar to a rope burn, it got me my first time, but no problems since : )

Great replacement
Much better than the kite handle that comes with any kite.
