Fully deserving of more than 5 stars.Neewer Battery Grip for Canon 5D Mark IV Ca
Fully deserving of more than 5 stars based on the quality and the price. The shutter release button is on point and everything works great. Unit feels very well built, I particularly like that the tripod mount hole is made with metal, solid insertion. The battery door is conveniently underneath and pulls out from the side so it's super convenient to switch them out if need be without having to dismount it. Highly recommend.

Satisfied
Neewer continues to impress me with each year. This battery grip fits perfectly on my Canon 5d mk4, and the grippy material matches exactly. I can't imagine how this accessory could be improved upon, hence my 5-star rating. It's not just 5-star "for the price", it is a true 5 star.thanks from Chicago

Review for 1 and a half years of use
We purchased this in March of 2019.It was used for weddings and had about half a dozen or so issues where the camera would report aftermarket batteries (despite the batteries being official canon batteries), and the camera would have to be restarted. In October of 2020, the major issues started: The grip was not providing enough power, and the camera would turn off, or not be able to actuate the shutter - even with full or nearly full batteries. Removing the grip and using only 1 of the batteries restored the camera to fully working order. This issue primarily arose while using "Live View" on the camera, which draws more power. So basically, $50 for a year and a half lifespan with a few minor inconveniences and slightly lower build quality than the Canon version.Decent value, with some possible downsides.

Works but camera gives warning
It works but just know the camera will give a warning when you first use it bc it’s non a canon product. Sometimes non canon battery things can mess up your camera/won’t work well, it has been working fine so far but don’t freak out if you get a notice. It can also get unscrewed slightly and need to be tightened sometimes if you use it a lot. Still don’t freak out, it happens with all battery attachments in my experience.

Great value for the money
Had one of these on my last camera. It does a great job of accessing everything that the Canon one does at a lower price and lower weight.

Connectivity is sketchy
Fits on my canon 5d mark IV, but it doesn’t always stay connected. It will disconnect and then my camera will turn off. Doesn’t seem to be a perfect fit.

I loved it at first…until the problems arose
So I really liked this grip when I first bought it and thought it was such a great value for the price. But recently while I was shooting a wedding, my camera started turning off randomly in the middle of shooting, despite both batteries in the grip being fully charged. This was a nightmare to deal with when I was in the middle of the ceremony! I need a working and reliable camera for those moments! And the worst part…even though I would take some pictures and the shutter would go off, because the camera was immediately turning off after those shots, they weren’t saving to my SD card! So I lost a lot of pics because this grip decided to malfunction at the worst possible time. And now, these issues are never ending, so I stopped using it completely.
