I've been on a long search for the perfect portable speaker, one that balances power with portability, and I can confidently say the JBL Flip 6 is it. This isn't just an incremental update; it's a refinement of an already brilliant formula, and the results are phenomenal. Let's talk about the most important thing: the sound quality. It is genuinely staggering for a speaker of this size. The key is the new 2-way speaker system, with a separate tweeter for crisp, clear highs and a dedicated "racetrack" driver for the mids and lows. This means vocals and instruments are incredibly detailed and never get muddied, even at high volumes. And the bass! The signature dual passive radiators on the ends deliver a punchy, tight, and surprisingly deep bass that you can both hear and feel. It's powerful without ever becoming boomy or distorted, which is a flaw many small speakers have. In terms of volume, it can easily fill a large living room or provide the perfect soundtrack for a garden BBQ without breaking a sweat. The design and portability are flawless. It's a robust, compact cylinder that feels great in the hand and fits easily into a backpack side pocket. The attached carry strap is a simple but genius touch. Honestly, I can't find a single significant fault. It's the complete package: stunning audio, extended battery life, multiple connectivity options, rugged design, modern features, and ultimate portability. It came a handful of hours before expected, the box was well protected (multiple layers) and the speaker is wonderful as it is even better than I expected :) I will definitely consider buying another for stereo pairing. The box is really nice as well. I would say that it was a bargain for £79! I haven’t encountered any distortion yet but I also haven’t used it higher than 50%. It is fully functional and the “JBL Portable” app really adds a lot of customization. It paired immediately with my phone (iOS) and I haven’t encountered any issues with connectivity. It is easy and fun to use and the battery life is better than stated (around 16 hours at 25-30% volume). I love it and I would definitely recommend it for somebody looking for a portable speaker. It is hefty when you first pick it up but after a few hours it feels lighter (I have no clue why this is). Overall, I would definitely recommend it (sorry for no photos or videos, but it is loud and incredible for its size and price) 👍

Probably the best bang for buck portable speaker. Audio is fantastic, it goes incredibly loud without distorting. Bluetooth connection is always solid and the battery lasts ages. It's pretty weighty which shows decent build quality.

My previous portable speaker no longer held a charge so I'd been looking for a suitable replacement for a while. I tried a couple of cheaper BT speakers, but the sound quality and lack of base was awful. They also lacked volume. Then I was at a friends and they were using one of these - I ordered one the following night. Simply put it's a great BT speaker for the price. I use it everywhere - in my office, when travelling and in dance studios. For its size it's loud and has a great base and the quality of the mid and high-tones is excellent. The construction is rugged - the only vulnerable bits are the woofer outputs on the sides, but they're recessed so fairly well protected. My unit has been dropped a couple of times to no harm. Battery life is reasonable - I've used it on long car journeys without problem. The manufacturer's boast 12h. That seems a little high compared to my experience, but I suspect volume levels play a part. Note there's no option to connect with a jack - it's BT only. The only lead it can take is the USB-C charging lead. Would I buy it again? Hell yes! Best I've come across in this price range.

This is the second flip 6 I bought, I bought it to make a stereo speaker set with another flip 6. the sound quality is decent and deserves a 5 star at this price but the "jbl portable" app is a absloute garbage when u are pairing 2 speakers together, it doesn't automatically split the sound into left and right, instead both speakers play the same audio DESPITE on the app it clearly says the speakers are stereo. this happens everytime I pair them with my phone and I have to switch the left n right allocation just to get the stereo sound starting to work, which is SUPER ANNOYING, not to mention sometimes the app can be so stupid that it cannot find any jbl products around while both of my speakers were on, connected and paired with my phone. So please, if you are considering getting 2 flip 6 as a budget stereo speakers, DON'T. the sound also has a significant latency, so the audio and video doesn't sync well which is not quite good for movies. Last but not least, the stereo sound sometimes stutters, quite rare but still exists. sound quality is good afterall, but just be prepared to face the issue that I have been getting if u want to buy 2 flip 6 and pair them

This is AWESOME, would definitely recommend, connects to an iPhone really well, no issues with Bluetooth at all. Great range and the sound quality is brilliant. We linked up several which is great at a family party, setup couldn't be more straight forward. Colour is fantastic, it's heavier than it looks but in this instance that's a good thing, sign of quality and stops it falling over. Would recommend all day.

I used to have two Bose bluetooth speakers, because I perceived them as the cream of bluetooth speakers. I was wrong. The most irritating fact was how difficult it was to connect my mobile, to the point that after 20-30 attempts I would just give up and read or work in silence. Also, and how that happened remains a mystery, one of the speakers mis-pronounced my name, by adding a letter to it (?!?) that shouldn’t have been there. The voice stating it is trying to connect was irritating and intrusive. None of that applies to the JBL. You press one button. It switches on. A “ta-da-da” sort of muted sound lets you know that. There is no useless spoken message. A few seconds later another similar sound tells you your device is connected. All you need to do then is press “play”. It has never failed a connection; adding a device is straightforward and easy, with a minimum if steps. Sound quality is excellent, with a sense of space and strength which seem magic for such a compact device. Even at low volume it never sounds tinny or puny. You can turn the sound up or down either from your device or using buttons on the speaker. The bass is reach and creamy, but detail is rendered accurately and at all volume levels. Battery life seems endless. A linear white light indicates the battery status. I have never got even close to draining it, even after days of usage. It recharges fast thru the supplied usb cable. It is sturdy, well built and has a nice cylinder shape that sits well in your hand. In summary, this is all I was hoping it to be; I have gifted one to my brother and I have bought a second one (a smaller model) from JBL, so pleased with it I’ve been. I cannot recommend it highly enough and I genuinely can’t come up with any criticism.
