It works, cheap and easy to install! Only issue it did not program with trunk
So I just bought a 2015 Hyundai Elantra and the keyless button that it came with didn't work the chip was broken or something, thats what the old owner told me. I got annoyed by having to lock and unlock my car everytime by putting the key in the keyhole so I called a locksmith and asked him to fix my keyless button. He said he would charge me 150$ to install the new one and I have to buy the new keyless myself. Ridiculous!! So I came on Amazon, saw this and read the reviews. Some of you say it didn't work. So I think I know why. Because in the reviews and instructions it says you have to lock the car doors to do this, in fact its the opposite. You have to keep the driver's door open for it to work (only watch the video in the instructions, do not read the instructions) I tried it the first and second time with my doors locked and it kept doing the piiip noise and the light of the programmer kept staying red not turning green. I removed it twice thinking it was a waste of time and money. Then I was like well let me try it one more time with my driver's door open. So I did, plugged in the programmer for the third time while the door was open and right away it started working. The light turned green and I kept pressing the buttons while they started all working. Only one that didn't work was the trunk button. I tried it many times kept removing and putting back the programmer but it didn't work. That's the only reason why am giving it 4.5 stars instead of 5 lol. But other than that it was very a very worth product to pay and very easy to install, I was done in like 5 mins. It arrived very fast and now am so happy I can get to lock and unlock my car easily not having to put the key in it anymore like in the 80s lol.

Works as advertised.
Was so fast and simple to program. A little tip that I have to share though. I know all vehicles are different, but for my 2012 Hyundai Elantra, it worked a little bit different than the instructions. Leave the drivers door open and unlocked and almost instantly after pushing down the lock button the hazard lights will flash, but the door locks did not cycle as they were supposed to do according to the instructions, leading me to believe that it did not work. After dwelling on it in bed that night, I figured I would just try it out the next morning . I tried it out and it worked perfectly. All four functions of the fob worked just like the OEM fob, even the trunk lock, which some reviewers said did not work on their cars. In my case, I give this product five stars and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Possibly Defective?
Bought the programmer to get a spare, but it would only recognize one key fob, and it timed out in less than 30 seconds. I couldn't program more than one. After 3rd try device is no long useable and I still have one working key fob, which is the original one, not the one sent with the programmer.

Amazon does not grant lifetime warranty!!!!
The item works well, it starts having issues about a year in, I’ve had 2 and they do they same thing. Some of the buttons stop working, but the item does have a lifetime warranty through Dorman. Amazon’s policy on automotive items states that they will grant the company’s published warranty for the lifetime of the warranty. If you look in the product description, the warranty states that it is a limited lifetime warranty, if the item if free of damage it’s a lifetime warranty. I contacted Amazon and they will not replace the item as their policy states. They hung up on me, they are hard to understand due to Amazon outsourcing. They seen the Amazon policy and the Dorman policy and still did not grant the warranty replacement. Buy the product from Dorman directly so that you can get it replaced for with the lifetime warranty since Amazon does not follow their own warranty policies.

Works great!
I lost one of my original keys and key fob for my 2012 Elantra. After reading the reviews on this product,, I was a little hesitant to purchase, but did so anyway because I did not wish to go to the dealer. I also purchased an additional 2 key fobs so I would have to program 4 total (3 new ones and one original). Programming was easy, just open the car door, plug this into the port, and hit the lock button on each fob until the doors lock. All this worked on the first try; you have 2 minutes to get it done. I was well under the 2 minutes but it shut off after the 4th remote fob, so I think there is a limit of 4. (Doesn't say anything in the instructions about a 4-fob limit)Everything worked after that, including the trunk button, which some say didn't work. The remotes alsowork from about the same distance as the original (50 feet or so), despite some reviewers saying it's only 10 feet. I just got this don't know how long the battery will last, we'll see.The instructions say you need to have the original remote, I have mine so maybe it senses it and really won't work without it. If you have the original, you do need to re-program it along with the new ones.

Programmer works great and its very easy!
Those seeking online help in programming your 2006 Hyundai Sonata know that info is very hard to come by. Going to the dealer is a non starter too. I went to 3 different dealers and it was always "$125-146 for the key and $110-150" for the programming. This was exactly what I needed. The only thing I mark it down for is the FOB itself. The trunk release button doesn't work so well. But I ended up doing the "also bought with" section when ordering and purchased an OEM Hyundai FOB for $25 and use that as the main one. The other is the backup. So for about $80, I know have two FOB's and they are both programmed.

works great, but read instructions carefully!!
Works well, but READ INSTRUCTIONS carefully!!. Note: does not work whenever keys are in the ignition. only works when keys is not inserted. But this makes sense anyway.

Didn't work
When I received this the package had been taped closed. Should of been a red flag. But no, I had to try it. When I finally located where to plug it in ( you need to be a contortionist), all it did was make a very loud high pitched noise that didn't stop. The neighbor came out to see if I was ok. Definitely was not looking good for key fob programming. I set up for a return, got busy and now I own a defective little piece of plastic .

Did not work on a Hyundai Elantra
The worst part of this item it that you only get 3 kicks at the cat. After that if your FOB fails to retain its memory like mine did overnight then you're out $$$. Unless they let you return it for a refund which in my case they did. I'm sure it worked great for some people but it doesn't for everybody. As long as you can return it then I guess its worth a try.Dorman should increase the attempts to reprogram to at least 10. They would probably sell more of them and have fewer pissed off people trying and failing to program their FOBs
