I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son. He enjoyed putting it together and it adds a whimsical touch to his office.

I almost didn’t purchase this because of the reviews but I’m so glad I did. This made a fun date night. Honestly wasn’t hard to put together and I used super glue in some areas to make sure things would stay where they are supposed to. I wouldn’t recommend doing this with kids. I could see that turning into an argument real fast and many broken pieces. Took maybe 3 hours to put together and now it sits on top of my bookshelf.

Wow!! We had a great time putting this together. It's not too hard to assemble it, but it's VERY difficult to get it to attach to the base. It took us about 6 hours to complete it. We did it over 3 days so we wouldn't get too frustrated lol. 😉 Patience is key. Perfect for any Harry Potter fan.

We are huge Harry Potter fans, love puzzles and legos. When I was down for a major surgery to have my leg cut in half, my wife got me this to have something to pass the time. It was a cool puzzle, but in the end it took about 5 hours to assemble due to pieces not wanting to stay together and it is currently sitting in 2 pieces, not attached bc it was causing more damage to put it together than to just let it ride out of view.Cool design, fun to do, but had frustrating moments where you want to smash it or say a few choice words….but it looks cool in the end for the most part. Would not recommend for a kid as they may never get it together.

It's like the two halves of this were designed by two different people, one competent person and one incompetent person. The first half with the observatory went together beautifully without issues. The side with the great hall was horrible. The individual pieces came together fine but assembling those to make the entire structure was awful. The pieces aren't the correct dimensions so you end up with gaps at the base. Basically, when this was designed the measurements were taken from the bottom of the tabs instead of above them so you physically cannot insert the tabs into the slots (see the photos). The result is that the entire base is not secured to the structure and the cliff faces that hide the slots and tabs can only be secured to the structure or the base (not both). Additionally, some of the pieces are very weakly anchored to the rest of the structure causing them to fall off. One of these was a pretty significant piece so that caused it to be very difficult to add other pieces on. I had to constantly reassemble what was already placed together. Gluing as you go isn't a good solution because you end up having to move things around so much to try to get things to fit together. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with this.

This was so fun to put together. A little challenging at times. The suggestion of ages 8+ and 60min to out together is absurd though. I don't think an 8 year old could do this without a loooot of help and it took hours. It didn't all fit together perfectly but it looks cool if you don't look too close. it's hard to get the whole piece on the base and connect the bridges between the 2 parts. Still loved it though!
