The media could not be loaded. I mounted this to a kidding panel my wife uses to contain several shoats as they till the front yard. The tubes are too small for the 3" clamps. Instead, I used a piece of steel as a backing plate. (Holes appear to be 80mm horizontal, 40mm vertical.) Action on the valve felt crisp and controlled the water well. I hope that lasts.I left some water in the bowl and the pigs figured it out within an hour. They tried chewing on it in various places but seem to have satisfied that urge without damaging anything.I've tried various automatic water solutions around our farm but have never been completely satisfied. I'm looking forward to trying this with goats and cattle.

My mini zebu cows are terrified by the sound of the water spraying out so they would need some training for getting used to it or introduced at an earlier age. Because they are mini they try to drink around the paddle without pushing it, but the bull which has a larger nose can't help but push it. So it is possible for somewhat smaller but strong livestock to learn to use it, but generally more suitable for larger full sized livestock or some minis that have larger faces.

Bought two of these to use in our pig pens. They worked really well. They held up to the abuse of multiple 300ld pigs. Very happy with them. Easy to install.

The paddle is too bad for the horse to push for water and is not adjustable. I have been trying to get a hold of seller because I still have one in package that I want to return.

I purchased this unit to provide on demand water for my pigs. It works very well.Somehow the stainless flapper became loose and they were able to get it off, leaving it no where to be found. I contacted the seller and they promptly sent me a new one! I had it at my home with about a week. They were responsive, friendly, and prompt!I have not found many auto watering units that work for pigs, as they can be a bit rough on stuff. I highly suggest this item for pigs!
