Q: Is the back of the case silicone? And has anyone experienced the case breaking?

No, the back is hard plastic. I don’t know whether it would break or not, seems very sturdy. But I find it makes fingerprint identity not work very well because the edges are raised and you can’t lay your finger really down on the device.

Q: What is this case made of?

The back is plastic. The cover is like an original iPad cover. Kinda like fake suede is the closest I can say. When you fold the cover all the way open, it does not stick magnetically to the back. You have to hold it.

Q: Just got it! is the case around the camera at the same level? will the camera scratch if i lay the ipad on a flat surface?

yes. didnot notice it before. case does seem to be on same level as camera & there is potential for scratch on lens.

Q: Does it interfere with the screen protector?

If the screen protector is not lined up correctly the edge of the case requires a little bit of patience to seat properly over the screen protector. I’ve bought two of these cases along with screen protectors, missed the perfect position by a millimeter or two on both screen protectors, took my time getting the case on and no problem with the protector.
