I should have known you get what you pay for-and these cheaply constructed chairs demonstrate that. The description says "wood" but in the answered questions there is a reference to cedar so I took a chance. One look inside the box, and a poke at the chair, indicated that is was made from a very soft pine with a light varnish. If it is cedar, which I doubt, it should in any case be oiled and not varnished.I bought these to go around the fire pit, completely exposed, and I am certain they will not stand up to the weather. Beyond that, the stain is a very unnatural orange. I am sending back

Good product
Good product for the price. One of the arms wasn't cut very good and the screw wouldn't let it sit flush with the leg as it was to short. Small gap between where the leg should sit flush with the arm. Gave it a 4 star because of that. But the chair is sturdy.
