Organic Roasted Chicken Base, Reduced Sodium - 16 oz

I love this stuff. I am even able to substitute cans of chicken broth in my soups and stews using it. That surprised me and is saving me money too. Made a quick gravy with it since, I had 2 boxes of Stove Top Stuffing that I had to use up quick (expiring soon) and, it was pretty good. First time I made gravy with it, I used flour but, it was a bit heavy clouded it up appearance wise. This time I used cornstarch to thicken it and, a dash of paprika for color and, it improved the look and taste of it. I definitely recommend it. Also bought the beef flavor in the local supermarket and, it worked well in my beef stew recipe as I substituted it for canned broth. In my opinion, it had no commercial taste at all.

Better than bouillon has been my favorite broth for many years. Because of my age (94) and heart problems, I have been advised to use as little salt as possible. I never knew until recently that this very tasty broth was available in a low sodium version. Now that I have it I can relax about the amount of salt I am adding to my soups, etc.

I keep this on hand in my fridge for when I cook pretty much anything. I add it to pastas, soups, marinades, glazes, you name it. I just use a teaspoon (regular spoon, not a measuring tsp) to scoop some out, put the spoon in a bowl, and add 2 cups of boiling water. Stir it up and add to whatever you need. This is so much better than powder and the flavor is great. I have tried almost all the Better Than Bouillon flavors and chicken is the one I use the most. My husband and in laws (who are from Asia) now also favor this type for when they cook. Overall, very convenient and the quality of flavor is great!

Great alone or as a soup base

I regularly buy Better Than Bouillon in various flavors, and I find that purchasing the larger jars (16 to 21oz) is more cost-effective than buying the smaller ones. The smaller jars are quite expensive, so buying in bulk helps reduce the overall cost per ounce. Since I use this brand frequently for its great taste and long shelf life in the fridge, it’s worth paying a bit more for the larger size. When kept sealed in the fridge, this bouillon lasts a long time.

My daughter told me about this product a year and a half ago. OMG we love it. It makes ordinary rice taste so good. Not a waste of money.

This product is very good. I has become part of the kitchen and comes in handy to add that little extra taste where required.

The flavour is like you made it from roasting chicken yourself. It’s the best in my opinion I would prefer less salt but they are all very salty. You don’t need a lot to get a lot of yummy flavour I also like that you can add a little straight to a dish if it needs more flavour. I made a chicken veg soup with home made stock but it needed extra flavour and I didn’t have any bouillon. I froze it in portions and now just add a little BTB when I heat up a portion to eat. Have also tried the beef and think it’s the best too

Okay; I love this bouillon. I truly do. I ordered it from amazon without paying attention to the price. Then my granddaughter grabbed it from costco. SAME EXACT BRAND AND SIZE. It was under half the price. I now have lots because Amazon would not allow a return on it. Learned my lesson. Price check better next time. The product is really good though. I love it in recipes as will as alone as a hot drink.
