Here's a kitchen tool that works exactly as advertised. I had to laugh out loud at the poor ratings complaining that it didn't mix their protein shakes, a process that will always require an actual blender. I'm surprised they didn't complain that it didn't "juice" as well. It also won't drill holes in wood, spin yarn or drive your kids to school. Honestly, some people just never seem to gain traction in this world.IT's A MILK FROTHER. Use it to froth milk and it performs excellently each and every time. Simple clean-up and storage right on the countertop right next to your expresso machine or coffee maker. Great item at a great price!

We have been using the PowerLix for exactly 16 days. Four and half stars and the Amazon Choice label originally induced us to buy. We used it exclusively for milk frothing in our, one each, daily cup of coffee. From day one, we were pleased with the product. The frothing ability was better than other foam makers we have used and it was an attractive item with a solid feel. Today without warning, it quit. Actually it never even started. I checked the batteries - all good. I cleaned the terminals just in case - nada. I double-checked that nothing was impeding the rod - zero. There was no hum, no hesitant spinning, just nothing. Amazon is replacing the frother free of charge but unless there is a significant improvement I would not recommend this product.UPDATE: After my review above, the PowerLix people immediately contacted us and replaced our faulty item. After a full two and a half months of usage our PowrrLix is doing everything we expect. Our first one was obviously a lemon and that can happen with any product. We were immensely pleased with the quick response by the PowerLix people - a clear indication of pride in a product and willingness to stand behind what they sell. Based on the company’s actions and the performance of our replacement frother I withdraw the negative review and now give PowerLix five stars!

I love this frother! Yes it slows down a bit after use but use good batteries and it works just fine. We only use this with non-dairy milk, specifically those with some fat like almond or coconut. I warm the milk for 30 seconds then froth it and it doubles in size, and is wonderfully creamy. Definitely a good buy for coffee and tea drinkers.

I bought this frother after an inexpensive one I had from IKEA fell on the floor and broke. I was looking for a powerful frother because I use it for making bulletproof coffee. I researched a lot of frothers before choosing this one--primarily because it promised power. It has definitely lived up to the promise. Nothing really compares to making bulletproof coffee in a blender, but this is as good as it gets without having to wash an entire blender for one cup of coffee. It's well made and comfortable to hold. It feels as if it's going to last. Shortly after I received the frother, the owner of the company contacted me to see if I was happy with the product and even gave me some tips on how to use it (hold it at a 45 degree angle!). I LOVE this frother! I use it every morning to mix my bulletproof coffee. It's super handy and convenient, especially since I don't want to have to deal with a big mixer in the mornings. I just rinse the end of it off with some soap and water, and then place it back in the holder/stand that comes in the package. You do have to be careful to not raise it too high in your drink, or you may be wearing it instead of drinking It! Great product!!

I'm astounded at the positive reviews for this frother. It's literally the worst I've ever used.Firstly, the batteries are difficult to insert.Second, you have to hold the power button down the entire time you're frothing. There is no ability to press once, have the frother work, then press again to shut it off. This is a feature that every other frother I've ever used has, and I assumed was a ubiquitous feature. Nope. You've got to hold this power button down the entire time. But guess what!? If you don't hold it in the exact right spot, your frother wand will lazily dance about, producing a mediocre state that could hardly be described as 'froth'.The stand is nice.Do not buy this frother.

Well, I was NOT offered a discount for my opinion like a lot of the ones I see, but I'll give one anyway, simply because of some of the negative reviews. The PowerLix feels solid and yes, it is powerful so yes, it has the ability to both mix powder drinks AND sling foam out of the cup. In fact, I momentarily redecorated by kitchen with little foam spots all over the place the first time I used it. But like making a fine cup of coffee, there's an art to using the PowerLix and once you figure it out (probably the second time you use it), it absolutely does the job. My technique is to do it in short bursts, hovering on top for no longer than one second, then pushing it down to the bottom until the milk cyclone tries to jump out of the cup. Timing is everything.I'd much rather have one powerful enough to mix powder and have to scale it back for milk frothing than have one that can barely make it through milk without slowing down and burning the motor up after a few uses. This should last for quite some time.

Making my coffee is one thing but to have frother make the foam I love while at home is simply amazing. The stand is just perfect and keeps it from just laying around. This is the best milk frother I have used. My coffee is better because of this one device.

Not as cheap as some but this is a powerful little device. Warmed some milk on the hob and this created great frothy milk in 30 seconds or so. I was playing and it looks like could be used to mix other liquids if not too thick

Easy to use, generally I'm using it to froth cold skimmed milk in a cup, for a coffee or hot chocolate.

The best milk frother I have owned and I have had a few which did not last long. The only downside is that the button is on the top which is a bit difficult to operate. Overall very happy with it.

Very powerful gadget. Great frother.
