These things are great. I’ve been pressure washing at work for last few weeks, and my feet were staying soaking wet. These won’t allow any water to go in your boot from top or from bottom.

The "pros" outweigh the "cons". For the price and or for seeing what wearing gaiters feels like without investing too much money these are good. If I really like wearing them I THINK I would invest more money and buy a better pair. The only trouble is I have no way of knowing which gaiters are better and why. The plastic zipper on my pair seem a little fragile. It seems to be important to get a size big enough so that you don't have to stretch the material too far to attach the two bottom halves of the zipper. I found it difficult to know what size to buy. The second problem I had was the instep strap the part that goes under the sole of the shoe or boot your are going to wear outdoors. My gaiters had a less than good design to "lock" the excess length of strap and of securing that extra piece of material. Other gaiters have a method of holding that piece secure so it doesn't cause problems. However, for the price these are great to start with. Enjoy.

Great product for the price! Have used on 5+ hikes of moderate length (5+ Miles RT). Also have been exposed to some off-trail hiking.

comes apart, easily falls apart, poor construction/materials (however you want to call it) just cheap materials used and poor methods of construction in the product. i bought mine from warehouse so i can't speak for new but when i received them already on of the gaiters retention strings was disconnected from the piece so it can't even tighten (negating the purpose of gaiters)
