Tom's of Maine Naturally Waxed Antiplaque Flat Dental Floss, Spearmint, 32 Yards 6-Pack (Packaging May Vary)

I bought Tom's after Consumer Reports revealed that most flosses -- except Tom's and a couple of others than I can't find -- have PFAS. Tom's was bought out by Colgate-Palmolive in 2006, so not as trustworthy, but so far so good. This floss is very thick and does a great job flossing. But because it is so thick, it is harder to use and strangles my fingers. Ouch, but I'm buying again. I bought a 6 pack and gave some away to my friends.

Tom's floss works very well. The thing I like best about it is that it doesn't break. I used Oral B for years, and it was always breaking. Tom's is thick and strong and has a semi-rough texture to allow it to grab bits of stuff stuck in your teeth. It reminds me of fishing line in that regard, although it isn't.

Strong - does not break when I use it even in tight spaces or stretch it tight or when there is a sharp edge on a tooth. Flavor is mild. Texture is coarse, not slick or slippery. Rounded and soft, not flat with sharp edges to cut your gums.

It's great to use this and know that there are no PFAS, or polyfluoroalkyl substances in the floss. Google it - a well known brand is known to release this chemical (which is dangerous) into our bodies when we use that floss. I threw out the 12-pack I had JUST bought from Costco when I read that and bought Tom's. The texture is different, it's thicker and because it doesn't have teflon coating the strands, it's a bit thicker. But it goes easily through the teeth and because of the texture, dare I say it might do a better job at cleaning? And the flavor is amazing!! Totally happy with this and will keep buying it from now on!!!

I really like that these don't have PFAS, unlike many other floss products. I also find the coarseness makes them clean better.I do find that they tend to catch a lot on rough spots between my teeth & shred; however, I have had problems with other brands in this respect as well.

Best floss I've used. Many stores in our area don't carry it so finding it on Amazon as a multi pack was helpful.

I was looking for a better floss without the PFE chemicals. This floss is difficult to use. I have to hurt my gums to get this past my teeth. Tried to return unused packs but still have not been able to after multiple tries. Amazon says I can return but I can't get any return information. This was expensive, so I want everyone to know this is NOT a good product.

I had been flossing wrong for 20 years. Purchased the Tim’s floss and it changed my oral health within a month of using it. My teeth are tight and the floss is thick, but a little technique goes a long way. Spend the money and take care of your teeth.
