Lightweight Safety Bump Cap - Breathable Baseball Style Protective Hat with Reflective Stripes

I got one each of these for myself and my brother to work under cars with less worry about dropping a wrench on the noggin.I recently tried it out for working in the very tight space under my kitchen sink.Really good for not worrying so much about banging my noggin against the walls and pipes.Did get a little sweaty inside though. There are vent holes, but they don't ventilate as well as a hard hat with suspension.I have a large head, so the fit is snug, but comfortable.Overall, good product, glad I got it.

After my brain surgery I wanted something light weight and protective. This does the job! I got so many compliments on it.

Hat fits and looks as good as any regular baseball cap. Protects well, as a bump cap should. One problem - if you over tighten the chin strap, it tends to unhook itself. I'm not returning it because it stays on without the strap fastened if you adjust the size correctly with the velcro back strap. It suits my needs well as is. If you absolutely need to use the chin strap, you can't trust this one.

The reviewer here with another product review. My Wife Loves This Hat and ware's it while she plays pickleball. My wife is 71 and fell once playing pickleball and really hit her head hard causing half of here face to turn black and blue. Now she wears this protective hat whenever she plays, and she says it works great. If she falls again and hit's here head, I will update this review to reflect how the hat performed.

The rope, broken and very short stupid, bad quality

I've given it 5 stars to comfort, warmth, and thickness, but keep in mind... that's in the context of what it claims to be. This is a thin, unobtrusive safety bump cap. Not a full-blown safety helmet or a bike helmet or anything else. It is like a baseball cap, except it has a hard inner liner so it's not as comfortable as a baseball cap. It keep your head warmer than wearing nothing, but it's not designed to keep your head warm at all. It's not thick at all... it's a bump cap!!!... so it is rather thin, but it is 5-star thick in the context of bump caps. So just please keep in mind what you're buying. I use it as a bike helmet. I HATE the look of bike helmets.

I was looking for a bump cap to protect my head as I am missing a piece of skull while I wait for an implant. I wanted a socially accepted alternative to the behemoth blue helmet received at the hospital, that I found frightens kids and dogs at the park when out walking.I was impressed by the quality and design of this baseball bump hat and would recommend to others. No one would ever know this was bump cap. The built in chin strap is an added safety feature that I highly recommend. However, as much as I like this hat it did not work for me as it was not big enough to cover defect, maybe it has something to do with where missing skull is located. Note, I wear a lightweight cotton cap over my head for added comfort under cap, another reason why a larger size ball cap was needed.

I use this working in a theatre lighting catwalk with a low ceiling and lots of electrical conduits and sprinkler pipes that you can hit your head on. It works very well to make those impacts less painful and its low profile makes it better than hardhat for this situation. The cap fits my head quite securely and the chin strap adds an extra bit of security, but you need to have it adjusted fairly tight or else it can slip off when you're looking down. The small brim allows you to see what's above your head better than a regular hardhat brim and you can flip it up for even better visibility. My only complaint is that is could use better ventilation. There are only a few tiny holes so the inside of the cap gets completely drenched with sweat after only a short time. Luckily, the fabric liner and cover is easily removable and washable.
