The product arrived earlier than expected a big bonus as being without a vacuum is awful . The product was highly recommended and had great reviews of it being an authentic product. However, first impression was great. Came in a box the way Dyson parts come in. Had the Dyson seal and looked promising. Attached well to the Dyson V10 and worked well. Now, the previous part I had stayed on the ground and adjusted itself when the vacuum moved in any direction. This part was not so smooth when it came to rolling it under sofas. Like the part would not lay flat on the ground but needed assistance to stay flat. It worked well on the rugs but seemed not to work on the tassels of my rug. The previous one would go over them and straighten them but this part the roller just stops moving. Also the previous part would catch wires but not this one. So In short , I am keeping it only because I can’t wait another month or 2 weeks for another part to arrive. So, is it authentic or not? It’s debatable. I’ve now used it for a few months since I bought it and I can now say it’s definitely not authentic. Something is not right with it. The roller head doesn’t stay on the ground at all when vacuuming and it just doesn’t pick up the dirt like the previous head. Not happy with the part at all. Shame as it’s not cheap. Don’t recommend.
