Great alternative to steel/aluminum pans for camp cooking.
I'm getting more and more into camping and camp cooking a real meal, not boiling water into a bag. I've been using titanium spoons/sporks for a while on food I prepped at home. A few months ago, I bought a titanium kettle and use it daily on a gas stove to make tea. Recently I bought this pan for the next step in my camp culinary trend. Although titanium, the pan can be seasoned like any other pan. I went through five cycles of seasoning it before use. On low heat, I cooked bacon and fried a couple of eggs. I had no issues with anything sticking. There was some charring left behind, but a quick going over with a wooden spatula and a wipe of a paper towel cleaned it all up quickly. The handle will get hot if you leave it over flames/coals, but it will cool quickly once off the heat. The handles take some practice to hold without the pan swiveling sideways. A push with a utensil or stick will help get it aligned again. I used a silicon handle cover (small round tube) on the hot handle with no issues, but don't let it sit over the heat. You will probably experience discoloration in the metal after use. It hasn't impacted the feel or the performance of the pan that I can tell. I like that the handles wrap around the pan instead of folding under the pan. Overall, it's been a great pan for me. Easy to use, easy to clean, and super light to carry.

Extremely Light! Now I need to learn how to cook w this metal!
I LOVE its size compared to smaller items I use yet its not overly big, just better for me. LOVE its light weight yet I want another *one size up* but still fits backpacks or whatever I carry for where ever I go. A size that this one would fit in when I take both. Even took to family time share cuz provided items don't compare to home used items.Fitted lids w venting or strain holes are always a bonus while cooking. /ThumbsUp!Took 1 star - heads up that its difficult to cook w if you aren't constantly keeping on top of your food lest it burn and stick to the pan. Titanium can be difficult to cook with. Just know what your getting into and why before you buy. I need low weight for travel due to spinal injuries.Good stuff! DO consider it.Would buy that next size up :)

User friendly
I actually use this item at home, as I don't go camping much. Light weight, handles are sturdy enough and easy to use, easy to wash, heats up very quickly. Lid is a plus!

Well made hiking skillet with a fitted lid? Win! Win!
Decades of outdoor activity in a hot, humid climate have made me appreciate the lightweight non reactive nature of Titanium. This skillet fits into my use perfectly. Plus it has a perfectly fitted lid provided to speed cooking or steaming and keep natural debris from ending up in my food. Must have item in my opinion.

Light weight and thin
The pan is very light weight, this is a plus for carrying, the minus is that the bottom warps. Being thin will also cause it to burn at the bottom and sides of the pan. Has occurred a few times for me. (Cleaning, helps to have a stainless steel chain mail cast iron cleaner). The bigger plus is the pan cover, this retains the heat, and cooks on both sides, top and bottom with steam.Have not used it camping yet. Used the pan on a low 5,000 BTU stovetop burner, it also works on an induction plate, surprisingly. The pan heats up very quickly, therefore one needs some fat in the pan ie olive, coconut, avocado oil or something like that. Have found for myself that adding water (sauteed mushrooms and/or onions) helps. However, the liquid evaporated quickly and the burning commences, Even with the lid.Since it heats up very quickly, it also cools off quickly. This appears to cause warping, hot spots with the associated food burning.Overall gave this pan with cover a four star rating, Mostly because of the warping.

It’s just what I was looking for,I love it !!
I had been looking to find a lightweight pan that was not too small and useless or to big to packThis was the answerIt’s big enough to fry 3 eggs or a very large handful of vegetablesBecause it’s titanium It heats up very quickly and gets very hot so I use a lower flame so nothing gets burnt. That saves fuel.I bought a wide burner stove(Fire-Maple FMS-116T)especially for this pan and they work very well together.I will also be using it with my Boundless Voyage titanium grill and my twig stoveThe included Lid is also great,it makes the pan much more versatile and together they make a good storage containerI absolutely love this pan & lidand the price is very good for something of this qualityI highly recommend this.

Perfect size and nice lid
Lid fits nicely. Easy to scoop out food. Almost acts like a seasoned iron or non stick skillet. I use over open fire or if on a camp stove keep flame low to medium. Weighs nothing. Would love to have an even bigger one
