Did not clean out the pores
I read all the great reviews for this clay mask and gave it a try since I had been reading that using a clay mask will clean out the pores and start making them appear smaller. I do have large pores on my nose & some parts of my face and I wash my face with a face wash twice a day use an spf lotion during the day and moisturize it nightly with either alpha hydroxy, retinol or a night cream and I never go to sleep with makeup on. I applied the mask on clean skin twice a week, left it on for 20 minutes each time and did feel my skin a bit tighter while I had the mask on, I did this for a few weeks, rinsing the clay mask with water and your fingers does takes a longer time to remove it, so I started using a wet small cotton towel which worked quicker. I also did not get any bad reactions from it. This Clay mask did not clean out the pores at all. Each time after rinsing the clay mask off and pat drying my face I used a magnifying mirror to look closer at the pores and what I did notice was that the pores were opened but the mask had not removed any of the impurities. What's the purpose of having the pores open but the product is not removing the impurities. I had to use a face scrub to try and remove the impurities because the pores did not look good at all. So this product made absolutely no change at all in cleaning the pores or leaving the skin smooth and radiant. It's too bad because it does have natural ingredients, that's why I gave it the 2 stars. I'm happy for those that say the product has worked for them, but I can not recommend it because of my experience with it.

Nice mask. A bit overpriced for the product and results.
Let me start off by saying that I love, love, love Geneva Naturals products. I have extremely sensitive skin and these products, typically, have been amazing overall. I have truly noticed results from many of the products and have invested in nearly every single one. That being said, I don't hate this mask, but I also don't love this mask. The price you pay for the amount you get, leaves much to be desired. The mask is very lightweight, which is great if that's the type of mask you prefer. It goes on smooth and comes off fairly easily. It smells very good. Fresh. I can say that I notice a difference in my pores after use. I also do notice softer skin. It literally reminds me of Noxzema. If you don't know what that is, it's a purifying cleanser/mask that was popular years ago. For $3. So, while I like this product, I feel there are other products that lend similar results at a better value. I'll happily use this product until it is gone, however, won't buy it again.

It's nothing special.
I never really write reviews, but this product had so much hype that I wanted to throw my opinion in. I expected much more, I can't really notice that it does anything at all. I bought it because I am running out of my Beyond Belief revitalize nourish and diminish mask... I got it on clearance at Sally Beauty and was REALLY impressed! I like it much better than this $20 Geneva one. As a matter of fact, the best face mask I have ever used is whipped egg whites. Seriously! Just using a whisk or beaters from an electric mixer, twirling it really fast until it turns to foam, and putting that on my face until it dries. I just stopped doing that because now I'm a busy mom, and it's messy and takes a long time to dry. I wish I had time to do that everyday... but, for now I guess I will just keep searching for a store bought mask that works as well. My old one was close though!

Great For Sensitive Combination Skin
I have never used a mask before but after having failed so long to find some way to deal with the acne and the dry/oily combo while still being conscious about very sensitive skin, I found this product in Amazon and decided to give it a try. My pores are normally what I feel are rather large, and I also have bad whitehead and blackhead breakouts, not to mention oily yet dry, flaky patches. I have used this product three times now in one week and as the name suggests, I really have seen a clear improvement in just this one week. My pores seem tighter and the blackheads I did have seem to be fading and not nearly as noticeable. I've also seen a really nice improvement with the whiteheads too, and I plan to use this often since, not only my sensitive skin was perfectly fine, but even my sister's extreme sensitivy has not had any negative reaction to it.

Too slick, not dry enough
The product description makes it seem perfect and the ingredients list is awesome...except for the glycerin. When I use a clay mask, I expect it to feel dry and thick, I expect it to dry into something flaky and brittle, and I expect my skin to be drier afterward. I didn't experience any of those things. I only used the mask a couple of times, so I cannot speak to its effectiveness over long term, but in the short term it did not do what I was looking for. The mask goes on slick like soap, and my skin still felt oily when it was over.

Max stars
This mask is formulated with clay which Genev claims are able to clear out clogged pores, absorb toxins, and dissolve all impurities. I use this mask once a week to help completely purge my pores. I will usually take a hot shower or apply a warm, damp towel to my face for a few minutes to gently open pores; then apply mask in an even layer and let dry. My skin would feel noticeably tighter as the mask would dry and harden. It takes some time and serious rubbing to rinse it off completely with warm water. With consistent usage, I did not notice any purging and this kept some hormonal breakouts at bay. My face feels soft, and oil production seem to be decreased. if you are plagued with clogged pores, excessive oil, or acne, then this mask is definitely worth a try.

Better than I thought!
I have semi sensitive skin, on the dryer side. I get flaking around my nose and forehead and clogged pores around those areas as well. This mask brings my face back to life! From dull to BAM! Doesn't completely unclog my pores, that's what facials are for. But it does have almost a brightening effect even on my acne scars and leaves my skin feeling instantly smooth and soft. I love it. I apply it after I shower, leave it on for 30 minutes, then always apply moisturizer afterwards because it can make your face feel a bit dry. Keeping it around for good. I use it about once a week to once every two weeks. I've used it about 8 times and my tube has yet to feel like there's a dent in it.
