Nice microscope!
I have other Apexel lens items and they’re always good quality, this being no exception. It does its job flawlessly while being easy to use. From the stock photos you could mistakenly thing it’s a camera, but it’s literally a lens with a hole in the back of the housing so your phone camera can see through. It has an in built battery for the torch which has two brightness settings. It comes with a nice quality cleaning cloth and carry bag. I’ve attached a couple of quick photos I took with it, first one is the ‘A’ from the included cleaning cloth. Followed by a close up of a 10p coin, the Queen’s eye on a £10 note, and finally the back of my hand, which is creepy. All taken on an iPhone 12 Pro Max. This is a microscope, so it won’t work as a macro/close up lens, Apexel sell a dedicated macro lens for that, which I also have and works lovely. Overall I’m happy and I recommend.

Hard at the star!
At first it was a bit hard to figure out which of the tow cameras of my phone would be the correct one to use. They zoom in different ways and that is not explained anywhere. But when you get to make the lens work with your phone camera it is really easy and amazing!

Not what I expected. Too expensive for what you get.
In order to focus on something, the object must basically touch the body of the magnifier. Also, the light on the magnifier must be on, otherwise the gadget is useless. I was expecting that try his tool would be able to focus at least 10-15 mm away, but I doesn't. This tool can be used only if you touch the sample. This can be tricky, especially if your sample is wet or very fragile. More than that, it is very difficult to set it properly (aligned) with your smartphone camera lenses. So, if you plan to use it frequently, you will go crazy. I tried it on a Samsung, a Huawei and a Iphone 14. On all, setting the magnifier was terrible. Not to forget, if you are using phones like Iphone 14, with lenses that are not flushed with the body of the phone, most likely, the magnifier will scratch them. In conclusion, this toybis interesting, but the price is to big. Better pay about 35£ on a WiFi digital microscope with better performance.

Microscope
Microscope 200 X, what a great piece of kit, it’s simple to use, and the remote from my selfie stick makes things easier, the depth it goes to is brilliant, the things you see are mind bending closeups, you also get a C type charging cable, a lens cleaning cloth, also a pull bag that’s big enough to put in your pocket or purse, this is fantastic Value for money

Its great, but i can be even better than you think...
I was really impressed with this. Unfortunatly the mount didnt last long, I now use some double sided tape to stick it to the phones, which is just as good. The best thing is that I found that iphone have a built in magnifier app (settings, accesibility, magnifier). With this, you get to zoom in x15, rather than the standard x5, essentially making it 3x more powerful than you initially thought it was. The magnification is astonishing The images are of a singular oat. First at 1x magnification, then at x5, then at the max zoom on the magnifier function. That blue strand (what ever it is) is invisible to the human eye, and as you can see is pretty large once fully zoomed in. Of course the limit here is that it is not an optical zoom, only digital, but, the advantage is that the camera will try and focus, which is an advantage you have over just pinching and zooming on a x5 photo. This was on a standard iphone 11 with 12 megapixels. Id love to see it on one of the newer iphones 48 megapixel cameras.

Yes - but not quite.!
The concept is good and the device should clip onto most phones (without a case) with no problem. It’s definitely not 200x zoom - I only wish it were! And the depth of field is extremely shallow. When using the microscope- you almost have it sat right on top of whatever you’re trying to photograph- so if you’re thinking of trying a skittish spider or fly - forget it. Anything taken has to be stationary or dead.! Having said that - the aphid photographed was on a leaf and about the size of a pin head, in fact I didn’t actually see it on the leaf until the camera passed over it. So some reasonable images are possible and could be made better if using a rig. Don’t expect easy 200x shots - you won’t get these, but you can experiment and get interesting shots. Enjoy..

Not as good as the ads make out
It is easy to use, it is reasonably good but not as good as the advertisement suggests.

My son loves it!
Great gadget for young kids! Amazing zoom photos. My son has lots of fun with it exploring different structures, works well and charges quickly.

This thing is really, really cool. I got it for my daughter and I to play around with. We just use to look at random stuff and see what it looks like. Some things might surprise you. You have to use you phones zoom to get a really high magnification picture, and it can be difficult to see things due to the fact that you have to be a certain distance from the thing you’re looking at and it’s hard to hold the phone still while you’re doing it. If you have kids, they’re gonna love this thing. It’s just such a neat little tool for playing around with for fun or even serious projects. I was surprised by how well it zoomed. I have an iPhone XR and it did take a bit of adjustment to get it on just right, and my case, an Otterbox Defender, is a little too big to work correctly with this. But with the case off it fits and works well. My daughters iPhone 12 Pro Max has a smaller case and it fits much better with the case on. But due to how her cameras work together, it was useless past 2.5x zoom. All you’d see was a blob. I’ve only had it for a few hours, but so far my assessment of this magnifier is it’s a little on the expensive side. But worth it if you want to use it for fun or serious projects. I don’t like having my phone out of its case. So that’s a drawback for me. But I could probably buy a cheap case for use with this. This has a built in ring light with rechargeable battery. Battery came out of the box completely drained. Took a couple hours to charge. I left it sit for about 2 hours and it was done when I got back. I might add some pics to my review later. Like I said, it’s kinda tough to get a steady image and I want to try and get some good pics. If you have a Pixel or a phone with a really good camera, the images will probably look incredible. My XR, the pics look ok at best when zoomed in fully.
