I recently purchased the RSHTECH Aluminum 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, and it has greatly improved my workspace organisation and connectivity. Firstly, the build quality is top-notch. I’m surprised it actually works very well

If you are looking for a powered USB hub and nothing else then this is the one for you. I tested this out with a video conference and data transfers and both performed great. It helped with the battery life on my laptop as well as reduce the CPU workload. Having the camera, microphone and mouse all plugged into the HUB and everything worked better then expected. The HUB itself is a good quality build, it felt marginally ‘plastic’ but that’s not really an issue. My only downside is that while I was using the mouse or anything plugged into it the light flashed which could get distracting but it’s not a reason for not purchasing this. Delivery of the HUB was great and seller communication was also good. Overall if you want a no frills powered USB hub the you can’t go wrong with this.

Great little hub, like the individually switched ports

I was using a ugreen 3 port usb hub but although its functional its not particularly attractive or well built. This RSHTECH hub though feels very solid in the hand and looks and works like a quality piece of kit. The ugreen hub also I had to attach some velcro to hold it down wher it has a rounded base whereas this RSHTECH hub has a flat bottom slightly wider but with small low profile rubber feet which means it doesnt move around and stays in play regardless of what I plug in. I've confirmed that when plugged into the included mains supply it draws no current from the pc usb port so you dont need to worry about it drawing power from your pc and overloading the port. I can easily tun an external hdd (500mah draw) and charge my phone (1500mah draw) simultaneously. I wasn't sure initially regarding the switches to turn each port on or off but actually it means I can leave not often used devices plugged in but turned off to save on wear and tear, and there is a handy indicator light next to each switch to tell you the state of the port. This is the second RSHTECH product I've purchased and I can honestly say they have great product design and quality control. The external drive caddy I bought a couple of years ago is still going strong and hasn't missed a heartbeat. There are is only really one way this device could be better and that would be to have a quick charge port but at this price I really cannot complain.

Works well , outputs being switched are very useful

I bought two of these hubs as my aged computer was running short of reliable USB ports and a (cheap) unpowered hub I had wasn't working very well. Being able to switch off each port individually is very very handy if your computer ever comes up with the message that to complete the undocking of an external storage device that you need to re-start your computer. I used to get that very often but it's simple to just switch off the power at the hub. Really, the only problem I've had was that one USB on the one hub doesn't work, possibly some dust has gotten in there, as I only needed a total of 6 ports out of the two hubs, I decided not to bother returning the faulty hub. The power cable has enough length and the blue LED's are bright enough so you know which ports are powered up. These hubs feel well made.
