Practical troubleshooting for rotating machinery
I liked the book because it is practical. Many of the troubleshooting techniques in other books and as they are taught in various classes are not suitable for real field use solving real problems. They are too academic and are generally not used for practical troubleshooting in the plant environment. The large print makes it very readable for older readers because it is large enough to see without glasses. This book is one of many written by this author dealing with pump selection, observation and other types of equipment. His books are written from both the engineering and operational points of view..

Don't be misled by its title!
This is not the book for any one who wants to learn how to troubleshoot ANY problem in rotating machines. It does not give any scientific information, methodologies, or any technical knowhow which are normally needed for diagnosis of the problems. All of the book contents are absolutely useless and the contents are published in very LARGE alphabets just to increase the page number of the book (if it was printed in a conventional size of alphabets, this book may contain only 50 pages). When I read it, I tried to visualize what group of audience would be benefit from its contents, and I could not think of any. Don't waste your money buying this book.
