Informative and not overwhelming. I use this to teach hvac apprentices when dealing with equipment schematics so they build confidence

Now I understand the emails I get with invitations to make thousands of dollars becoming an independent publisher on Amazon. This is not a book, it's not even a pamphlet. This is a cheatsheet if you wanna call this thing a name. For me it is a waste of time, because I'm making sure it goes back to Amazon, I'm not paying for this. I never write reviews but this one is earned for real. I bought the so called "Guide" on August 7th. Guess what? It was printed that day too. Printing on demand. So far I understand that, not the worst of it.The problem is that this 29 pages thing doesn't teach you any basics of schematics reading. It only provides a list of circuit components and the corresponding drawing and what it does. It is written in pt. 24 font on double space so if you redesign the whole content and put it in a regular pt. 10 font it will at best amount to 7 to 10 pages, and I'm even being nice here.You'll probably do better than this if you go to an A.I. app and order it to write the same book for you and then print it.It is a real shame. Shame on Amazon that allows this kind of rip-off to be sold.And by the way, it is not an excuse to use the phrase "for absolute beginners" in the title to take advantage on people looking for real knowledge. No matter the level of their expertise.Very disappointing. Smh. See for yourself in the pictures. Zero stars.

There is some good information I'd say about 20-25% is useful but there are parts that are simply showing picture then using words to describe it which just adds pages but not useful information which uses up your time unnecessarily.

But this helps tell me how to find a component in a crt monitor schematic because I bought a used monitor that seems to be completely dead and I don't want to get a new one because it matches my computer and hopefully I now won't blow up or electrocute myself now I can follow the chart.

I wouldn’t even qualify it as a book. Worthless information..save your money you can get better informations at Home Depot.

This pamphlet ends abruptly; just when it should begin explaining schematics it ends. More like a teaser than actual explanation.

Amazon got me twice with little, basic books. Amazon didn't show reviews until after I purchased book , i looked for reviews and didn't see any listed. Once book was purchased I see the bad reviews, nice trick! Very basic information, you can learn this with 10 minutes on google. Not recommended at all!

You talk about layman terms, this book is suitable for the children crib, not recommended!!!!

This book is Great for a novice/apprentice.Covers all of the basic symbols and circuit arrangement. Do not expect more!

This book over priced .lacks content.would have to be the worst purchase I have ever made.

Book, or rather booklet arrived promptly and is Ok but very, very basic to what I had expected.
