Well built unit!
First off, I would like to say that I really like the burner. It works as advertised. Bought to minimize the use of our wood fireplace. We get a lot of ‘no burn days’ here. My only complaint. When I hit “buy” arrival Dec 20-26. (This was dec13) next day, notified it was Dec 24-29. Day shipped, notified dec 26-jan4. Unit actually arrived Dec. 18!In time for Christmas gift to wife! Thank You for the fast ship during a very hectic time for shippers and deliveries!

good and easy to use
This burner is great and easy to use. You just pour in the fuel and light it and the fire goes on without anymore attention necessary. We used 3 or 4 quarts of fuel and it lasted like 6 hours, so pretty good. Nice flame; not too big, not too small. It was very nice at Christmas.

Cleaner burning & decorative
Perfect for a decorative fireplace flame during the winter. Love this cleaner burning fire in our fireplace - all the ambiance and none of the unhealthy smoke pollution for our family or our neighbors. This fireplace burner is great!

Ventless ethanol burner insert works with your fireplace style
The media could not be loaded. After trying an electric fireplace insert, I wanted something with a real flame that didn't require piping in natural gas. After searching several models, I decided on the Ignis Eco Hybrid Bio Ethanol Fireplace Burner EHB 1400. I chose this one over the EB 1400 version because the Eco version allows you to damper the flame and also has a burning area width of 10" vs. around 7". This one was also the right length and width to fit into an existing cast iron wood fire grate.The fireplace burner is made out of thick steel. This model has an outer box and an inner box that sits it in. The damper is a piece of steel that sits on top of the box and can be adjusted by pulling forward or pushing backward with the steel tool.The nice thing about this style is that you can put it inside another fire grate (as I did), or you can build a flame proof surround and sink this insert into it.I've only used it a few times, but so far I'm pleased with how it works and looks.
