Mepilex Border Lite Dressing, 1.6" x 2", 10/Bx

I've been using these excellent bandages in various sizes for a few years because they do not tear your skin off when you remove them and reopen your wound. I have a particular problem with very thin skin on my lower leg. Yet they stay on well, even in the shower. They are great bandages, but unfortunately not cheap. Amazon's price is better than medical supply outlets, however. I used to buy them on Ebay, where the prices are sometimes slightly lower than Amazon, but the service from the various vendors got too weird -- twice I ordered two packs from two different vendors and got two bandages! Better to buy from Amazon. I highly recommend the bandages.

I have a terrible time with bandage tapes. Even the flexible & cloth types. I was in he hospital having an IV hooked up when the nurse saw my big bandage. She wanted to put a clean one on first. I told her to please be careful taking it off because my skin tears. Well she gasped when she saw what it looked like. I told her it was from changing bandages. She went and got me one of these. Oh my goodness they are wonderful. They stick fine but they come off with no problems. I am so thankful that she gave me an extra. I was able to look to see if Amazon had them and YES they do. I immediately ordered mine and these will be my ONLY bandages from now on!

These are the best bandages for post surgical incisions, hands down! We used these bandages on my son after a procedure. We had trouble with gauze bandages (which were given to us at the hospital), because the gauze would stick to the wound and pull and scabs. These bandages were amazing. It allowed for the incision to drain and changing the dressing was a breeze. It did not stick to the wound, which made the change of dressing much more bearable for my son.

I first started using Mepilex products when I developed an adhesive allergy during chemo. They have a different type of adhesive that I do not react too. I have been pleased with all of their products as they are very comfortable to wear over wounds of any size/shape, but was hesitant to try these because of the adhesive edge. I wondered if my skin would be able to tolerate that or not, but I also wanted a "band-aid" type dressing to carry with in my purse. because...well, sometimes you just need a band-aid! These worked great and stuck well - so well that one lasted on my foot when we were at Disney World and doing miles of walking! They also did not give me any sort of reaction from the adhesive. So if you do have an adhesive allergy, these would at least be worth trying. They are comfortable, durable, and stand a good chance of not making you react.

Very good for sensitive skin. Stays attached to skin very well but also easy to remove.

Perfect for our newborn that has an Ostomy. I do trim on side a tiny bit due to his belly button being so close but I don’t have to. These are perfect to cover his mucus fistula! No irritation or discomfort to him when removing with the adhesive remover we were given. I haven’t tried to remove by itself just because of how delicate his skin is. Love these instead of a regular bandage

So comfortable you forget you put it on. Absorbent & cushioning. Keeps moisture in skin. I use it to cover an area that had an edema blister from leg surgery. I would recommend these to anyone.
