I am impressed by the product’s value for money. I recently tested it out for work purposes. As someone with severe allergies, I utilized it for its protective capabilities. It effectively shielded me throughout the day, and I felt a significant improvement in my well-being.One aspect that I found slightly irritating was the back strap. While it provided a snug fit initially, it became somewhat irritating after repeated head movements. I adjusted the strap to strike a balance between snugness and looseness, allowing for some movement. It is possible that this is a personal preference, but it was the only minor issue I encountered.Overall, I am highly satisfied with the product’s quality in terms of dust protection. Although it was slightly warm, it was not overly uncomfortable. In comparison to regular surgical masks, this product offers enhanced ventilation, which I greatly appreciate. I highly recommend it.

LOVE THIS MASK! This mask is the new version that replaces the one Basecamp sold prior to 2020. I had picked up the original style for mowing the yard (pollen allergies). It was perfect when the pandemic started. However soon after things escalated you could not longer get these masks nor the authentic basecamp filters. I had enough to make it through till this new style was available. I was so pleased with original mask that I bought this new version as soon as saw it was available. I have recommended it to many co-workers. I have to wear a mask at work when around others. I have worn it for hours on end and it remains comfortable the whole time and causes ZERO sore spots. I have even worn it to the junkyard for emergency parts pulling and it was not too hot. The adjustable bendable nose piece allows you to get a good seal. I have even perfected wearing glasses without fogging them up! :) This mask is breathable and does not trap alot of heat. Yes you still get a bit of humidity build up, but its a negligible. The vents do their job perfect. [I would recommend that if you are ever around anyone who is super high risk that you might get those cheap thin surgery masks to layer over the vents to offer them better protection, (like my 105 year old Grams)] This mask is a great fit and does not slide about like many of the other masks. It offers ear loops & an adjustable strap that goes around to the back of your head. This mask is unique in that way and allows a ton of adjustability. Once you get it fitted you do not have to fiddle with it at all! :)My only issue is that I have a small head. ( 6 & 3/4 hat size.) I wear youth hats. Any adjustable adult hat always covers my ears & the one size fits all falls off if I turn my head fast. LOL. So I made alterations to the mask to make it a wee bit smaller when I got it. Please check out my pictures to see how it did it. Before I would have the mask fitted to my face and wrap the head strap, but the Velcro would overlap so far it would not adhere. With my adjustment I get a perfect line up with the Velcro now. I am very pleased with the mask and highly recommend them. I bought one for me, my mother and 105 year old Grandmother. This is good mask at this time, primarily because of its high quality replaceable filters. Since most "blown" (non-woven) filter material production has recently been shunted to private medical suppliers, this mask/filter combo seems to be one of the few remaining sources of high filtration masks/filters for the public. The filter layers are designed and technically capable of very high particulate and ozone filtration percentages.However, IMHO, the design has significant limitations:First, masks with outflow valves do not provide optimal source protection. They primarily protect the wearer from other sources. That means if the wearer is a possible source, this mask should probably not be a first choice. The wear of outlfow valve masks may be seen unfavorably by those who know the difference. My personal practice is to wear this mask with a fabric neck gaiter, which I can pull up to cover the valves in public.Second, it is one-size-fits-most. Since mask effectiveness is completely dependent on fit, even a mask with great filters, like this one, may still not be effective for you without modification. Since this mask only has a neck strap and tends to slide down off my nose (even after adjusting the nose clip), I run an additional velcro strap through the ear loops to make a head strap. Wear a baseball cap if you want to hide the strap. Self-adhesive rubber weather strip material (1/2 x 1/4 inch) can be applied as needed inside the shell to improve seal around the nose and upper face area. Even if the metal nose clip comes loose from the shell (it is easily damaged during machine washing), a combination of velcro and weather strip can keep the mask fully functional.IMHO, if you can get a good fit, this mask is better than a commerical industrial valved N95 (which is currently unavailable to the public). Here's why:First, the commerical products are disposible and are typically unusable after a few hours of work. With this mask shell, filters can last for a week of heavy daily use because they never touch my hands or have direct contact with the work environment. Second, the outflow valves are larger than on a commercial mask, resulting in a mask with much easier exhale and less heat/moisture buildup (suitable for strenous exercise/work). This also makes the filters last longer.The shell should be hand-washed only, after removing valves and filters, to prevent damage, especially to the nose piece. Replacement outflow valves should be ordered separately if you plan to use this mask as your primary protection. The valve pieces are easily misplaced or lost when removed from the shell during filter change and washing. The mask is not functional without these valves. My suggestion is to order 2 extra valves for each mask. Since each Base Camp mask has two outflow valves, if you want to replace both of them (or to have a complete pair of two spare valves), you must order a quantity of 2 items.Although the valve is not difficult to replace, there are no instructions included. Supplier pictures indicate that a single silicone diaphragm must first be mounted on the inner valve section, properly seated over its center post and oriented with its concentric ridges forming a slight outward facing-cone.The filter replacement procedure is also the basis for valve replacement, remembering that the inner valve section must be inserted first through the filter and mask outflow holes. Once in place, the outer valve section must be seated and turned a full 90 degrees clockwise to lock into the inner section.To direct outflow in a specific direction, the inner section slots must be correctly aligned relative to the mask prior to attaching the outer section. For example, if you want valve outflow to be directed downward, the inner valve section slots must be aligned vertically, and then the outer valve tabs seated so that the outflow guides appear to be facing forward. After full 90 degree clockwise rotation to lock, mask outflow will now be directed downward.

WOW. I work in dusty new construction and have always struggled with what to help block dust. For a while I gave up and did not use anything. This product was super inexpensive and had huge upside! It is super lightweight and fits my face perfect while using the nose adjuster. It is super comfortable and the first face mask that does not fog my glasses!!! I love that the pieces are removable for washing. Very easy assembly. Amazing purchase.
