Kinesio Taping - Elastic Therapeutic Athletic Tape Tex Gold FP - Black – 2 in. x 16.4 ft

I've been tempted by some of the knock offs being sold for half the price since I don't always use this as kinesio and so could go with a cheapie brand, but continue to buy this one. It works as it should, long lasting yet isn't too harsh when removing. I use it to cover bruises on my arms from soccer while they are healing -- looks better than showing a bruise and you can cut it to shape. I also wrap my toes to prevent blistering in my cleats. Also, I tape this into a variety of shoes to prevent squeaking and slipping [such as on the inside of soccer cleats at the heel/ankle cup and even on dress shoes at the heels and toes] and it lasts at least a season. I also use it with some cotton to make a versatile band aid to wrap on areas that a traditional band aid won't cover. Yesterday, I taped a strip just under each knee cap and it gave reassuring support for knees worn out from decades of running. This tape has so many uses. UPDATE: I have bought their standard black [they have an extra strong black also, but not sure it is any different than the regular black] and it sticks so well that is seems to be a cut above this one as far as performance. The black can last up to a week and even when I am doing hot yoga -- that is very impressive. I continue to buy this beige when I have a need for cover ups, and the black for more serious applications. Was using the black for LCL taping method where one of the tapes scoops around the knee. You can feel the blood flow to the area, plus give support. Was easy to remove also. Great product.

Excellent elastic therapeutic tape. Great support for my arm muscles, as I was having soreness from golfing multiple times a week. A friend suggest this brand of therapeutic tape, and it helped a lot. It says it is the original Kinesio tape. It never hurt my skin, or caused any rashes, for me. And it stayed on almost two days. Very pleased and highly recommend.

Best tape for knees. Doesn't leave gunky tape residue. Easy to use in lifting the skin and giving support. Can use for other parts of the body.

I wear kinesiology tape almost always in my knee after a bad surgical outcome. I use it for stability but it has been life changing to address the problems I've had from nerve damage caused by the surgery. Somehow k tape significantly decreases the erroneous nerve sensations I experience and helps with proprioception. Since I wear it constantly I have tried many different brands. I really like the way my knee feels with this brand and have been chosing it over other options for many months. The main downside is that it leaves a lot of adhesive on your skin and starts to fray within hours of applying it so...it doesn't look pretty. I have even purchased a specialized adhesive remover for skin to make removing all the leftover adhesive easier.

This tape changed my lymphedema journey. Video in YouTube shows how to use this tap for lymphedema drainage. I am so happy I found this tape. My body is changed into better now.

This stuff is literally saving my husbands arm. He is a general contractor and is using his arms all day. He has what is suspected as a torn tendon (working with a dr) and without this tape on his arm he can barely use it. This is working out so far to be really good interim support so that he can continue working. If you are experiencing a sprain, tendinitis or other pains that could benefit from support, I highly recommend trying this tape. The only downside we have with it is that because it’s so sticky it pulls hair out and sometimes leaves a little bit of raw skin when removing it.

Summary: sticks better than other brands, use baby oil for removal. I have arthritis, and I’m prone to developing PFPS (known often as runner’s knee) in my right knee. My physical therapist taught me how to tape my patella in place for high impact activities when I’m feeling any irritation. I needed to tape my knee on my own in between appointments, so I bought several brands and tried them out. I tried everything from “name brand” KT tape to random off brands from big box stores. I had the same issue with all of them - no matter how dry my skin was, the adhesive failed halfway through a sweaty workout. When my PT taped my knee, it lasted for days through multiple gym sessions and showers. I finally called to find out the product they use in office, and it is Kinesio TEX Gold. I purchased this roll, and it did not disappoint. This tape stays on extremely well through showers, gym sessions, applying lotion etc. It also keeps some tension for up to 3 days vs the other brands who were doing nothing by day 2 if they were even still adhered to my knee This tape can sometimes stay TOO well, and my tip for removal is applying baby oil and letting it sit for a few minutes. The baby oil will work even faster if applied right before you start a shower.

Great product, very helpful for my knee pain

This is GOOD stuff!! I bought it on recommendation from my Sports Therapist and (with appropriate direction on where to stick it!) it got me n my dodgy hamstring through Tough Mudder - and was still attached at the end (which, considering how wet/muddy I was at the finish, was pretty impressive)! I went for the Gold cos I was told it was the best and this was the cheapest I'd manage to find it. It also arrived very quickly!

Read a review from another runner suggesting to use KT Tape versus blister pads on feet to reduce chaffing on typical hotspots. This tape proved very effective for helping me heal some bad early season blisters. It is easy to apply, stretches well to conform to balls of feet and heels, and stays in place even for long distance runs. I now use it as a preventive measure for every long run.
