I have indoor shutters for tall living room windows. They were cracked and broken from sun exposure. I bought these as a replacement. Installation was easy, I just installed it back on the original holes. The magnet is strong and catches quickly. The only problem is that I wish these were lower profile because when I shut the shutter doors, it no longer lays flush against the frame. I kept looking around for other magnetic catches and they're all the same size and dimension. I took a closer look at the original and did a bit of research comparison. Turns out the original installer had used weaker cabinet magnets which are smaller in size and most likely the reason it deteriorated so quickly.

These came a little late but our postal route sucks! We I stalled them and they work well!

Well, as they say, you get what you pay for. Two of the 10 magnets broke while being installed. I had already installed enough that we wouldn't return. The pull was adequate to keep the cabinet doors closed but was nothing to brag about.

They do the work as it is advertised!

These worked perfectly for what I needed them for! The doors on my plastic mailbox kept flopping open in the wind and I'd always find mail strewn down the street when I drove home, so I used 3M tape to secure these magnetic catches to the inside of the mailbox to keep the doors shut. The only problem is that the magnets were a little too strong, so I covered the plate with a couple layers of painters tape to decrease the magnet strength. Now it works perfect!
