MK11:23-24,16:15-20, ACT2:38 Review: The BEST book for beginners with lots for those more experienced - It was difficult to pick out a book on desertcart to learn about acupressure and the various points as a newbie. This book was a home run! There is a nice introduction that works well at explaining things in simple terms, including how to do it and other relevant things. The bulk of the book is about the various points, where they are with good diagrams and telling what they affect. For a moment I was worried that there was no listing of various health concerns that showed what points to utilize for them, but then I took a look at the index and it is all there. This book has it all and it will be a long while before I need a book that goes into more depth. I can do a lot with the information in this book alone. If you are new to this and want a great book that is comprehendable and comprehensive, this is the one you want. Nice job Ms. Bleecker!

The BEST book for beginners with lots for those more experienced
It was difficult to pick out a book on Amazon to learn about acupressure and the various points as a newbie. This book was a home run! It is very easy to learn with this book
Deborah Bleecker's book, Acupuncture Points Handbook, is very clear, well organized and very useful. It has great diagrams of each of the meridians and she locates the points so that even I can find them. Very helpful explanations of the functions and common usages of all the points, especially the major points. You can look up most any problem or situation in the index and you are directed to the appropriate points and meridians. I am enjoying it because it is so easy to understand. Great book to have if you want to understand and know where the meridians and points are and what their function is.

most points are all along the spine
IF you are studying to actually do acupunture, this would be helpful with spine points that can be reached with needles. And then see, a few points down arm and legs but very few. I have taken college level anatomy & physiology years ago and think the simple clear drawings of main nevers would have been nice. Seeing it later layerd in the muscles & vaines - wouldn't have been as cluttered together. That's helpful after you already know where the nerves are really running. BUT if you are like me, a fan of accupressure points, not really helpful. Not enough points to treat conditions by finger/thumb pressure. Then this book is not for you. I do appreciate the knowledge of points / being able to self treat. A book years ago, helped me during labor to direct my partner to use thumbs on dimpled areas for lower back to bold severe pain during end of labor time. It was a miracle and I have great respect for this Eastern technique and knowledge. For me, I'll have to move back to looking for accupressure books. I do like the Kenkoh Japanese natural rubber point massage for general point stimulation - whole body approach. Glad to see other people are studing to carry on this traditional medical approach to health!

Real book is better than Kindle version
Let me start with saying that this book is awesome. I have been regularly going to acupuncture since 2004 and it has changed my life. It has always seemed like such a mysterious magical cure until I found this book. Everything is clearly explained in an easy-to-follow fashion. This book has fueled my desire to learn even more about this amazing natural healing. I bought the kindle book because I live in abroad in a non-English speaking country with little access to real English books. However, this would be better purchased as a real book so you can easily flip back to the charts and the text. I do appreciate that it is in Kindle form so I can read it!

Another Great and Informative Book
I really liked the colorful book cover on Deborah's latest book “Acupuncture Points”. Also, I am so pleased that she has chosen a nice large font. It makes it so easy to read. The graphics are absolutely amazing. They are so clear and easy to understand. Obviously, it must require a great deal of research and training to write a book of this type. She must have spent many months completing it. I gave this book a 5 star rating. This is the 4th book I have purchased by this author. Her books have been so helpful. I am very interested in learning how to have good health without the use of prescription drugs. Her books always give good suggestions about how accomplishing this. Keep up the good work and write another book soon.

Great Information
The Acupuncture Point Handbook is exactly what title indicates; it is a handbook for people like me who get frequent acupuncture and want to understand what it is about. It also has a lot of pictures showing acupuncture points, and explains acupuncture from Chinese medicine point as well as Western medicine point, so a person not knowing anything about it would understand it easily. I have recently ordered acupuncture beads and I can use them on a point or two safely the way I have seen my acupuncturist use with the help of this book. I refer to it frequently. this is a useful book that is placed close to reach in case I need it. I recommend.

I purchased this book because I want to learn about meridian and holistic ways to heal and treat the body. The book is well organized and shows the main acupuncture/acupressure points that can be stimulated along the meridians and the effects they have. It is well illustrated with precise and reliable drawings that are easy to follow and go back to for reference. It is a solid introduction to acupuncture points that can also be applied to acupressure, body tapping etc.

This book has many good illustrations and drawings showing the locations of the acupoints. However each point is referred by their conventional reference nos rather than by names. We address each point here by their names, hence need to use another acupunture book for cross reference. More values could be enhanced into this book by: 1. Showing the big picture of meridians of the body in a chart. 2. Good to have the names of the acupoints next to their reference no. eg: LI4 Hegu. Or a reference list of acupoints and their names at end of book. 3. An anatomy chart since vertebrae, and bones are mentioned. I will not recommend my friend to buy this book.

This is an extremely well-written, comprehensive text. Diagrams and layout make it extremely accessible. I am only just learning about accupressure and finding this text invaluable.
