This module replaced the factory one in my 2018 F-150 that went bad. My screen had stopped working and the radio, USB ports, and backup camera were all affected. After extensive research I narrowed down the issue to the Sync 3 APIM. I was pretty worried about replacing it myself but I knew the dealership was going to charge around $1400. I watched a couple YouTube videos and felt very comfortable with it. It only took me around 30 minutes to do. This APIM was preprogrammed for all F-150s so it had some of the extras that weren’t originally on my vehicle but it’s not an issue for me. As soon as I installed it, it fired right up like normal. All my issues are resolved now and my USB ports, radio, CarPlay, and backup camera all work now. I’m so glad I didn’t have to go through the dealer.
