It's raining hard right now and our rain chain is performing just as it should. It looks great in our front yard and we have received many compliments from visitors. It was not terribly hard to install and we are considering a second for the backyard.

When I ordered this I thought that ground placement would be sufficient however the water even though it is displaced by the chain still makes a hole in the ground. I am going to have to find a basin that fits the distance from by downspout to my house wall.

This rain chain arrived quickly, and in great shape. Packed very well. No problem with installation and works well. It both works and looks great. We are very happy. My only complaint is once we installed it, we did not get any rain for weeks. LOL

This rain chain looks pretty hung up. It gives nice interest to the front of my house. I gave it 3 stars because the connections from piece to piece aren’t very strong so you either need to squish the cups or bend the pieces to stay (it literally came apart during our first rain storm). It doesn’t work that well in heavy rains because the water can’t drain fast enough from cup to cup so it was overflowing a lot at the top and water was flying all over. It worked well in a lighter rain, though. I also like the it is pretty far from the house so the water doesn’t sit near the foundation.

Nice lightweight copper rain chain, tulip design. Magnet does NOT stick to the rain chain cups or the connecting wires. A magnet DOES stick to the copper colored gutter insert though. The insert is a little bit heavier and sturdy - made to hold the weight of chain and water. The cups themselves are thin copper sheeting which is cut in a scalloped circle shape, then likely press-stamped into the final tulip shape. (I think). The cups have fluting, but are smooth otherwise. Super easy to hang if you have gutters with a downspout end already. Simply take off the downspout, and fit the gutter insert into the gutter and downspout hole. Then hang the chain with the hook. I wanted to put these on the corner of the overhang roof where there was NO gutter. The overhang gutter simply didn't extend all the way to the corner. I had to get my husband to put up another gutter bracket, and insert another section of gutter in the middle - thereby sliding the existing gutter 'end'.. to the end in the corner. Our down spout was also configured a little differently (we are in a tropical climate). He simply carefully bent the chain insert piece and reconfigured it slightly to fit. Wasn't hard for him. Hung the chain! It's not raining yet, but we used a hose to test both the reconfigured gutter and chain. Worked great! It really DOES sound and look good. I think I'll create a stone pebble catch basin on the ground under the chain to make a pretty mini garden spot. Looks nice. One caveat: We happen to get a lot of wind on that corner of the house - which I can see will be a bit of an issue at times. Luckily, it is really easy to unhook and take down the chain if I need to in the event of a windy storm. Nice product.

The rain chain arrived well packaged. Each Tulip was wrapped to protect the copper from getting scratched. They also included a 3" gutter adapter for free, which was a nice surprise.I've had rain chains before but really like to true copper finish on this set. They are large enough to handle a heavy downpour and funnel the water without making a mess.The chain is absolutely sunning and I highly recommend trying them as you too would be very pleased.Thanks for checking out the review and hopefully the information provided was useful.
