From Library Journal Biscuit joiners allow woodworkers to assemble their projects using tiny wooden biscuits, a fast and simple technique that even beginners can use to make strong wood joints. Stack, a professional cabinetmaker and editor at Popular Woodworking magazine, offers a number of attractive projects that feature biscuit joinery, including a media center, cabinets, a mirror, and a double lounge that converts into a bed. These plans are well written and are supplemented by excellent color photographs; the projects are within the abilities of most woodworkers. A bentwood clock and a free-form plant stand offer some rather innovative uses of a tool that is more typically used on a flat plane. The introduction (written by Christopher Schwartz and aptly titled "Biscuit Joiner Basics") offers a wealth of tips and ideas. This is an excellent book about an increasingly common tool.
