I used this when camping on cold nights in the winter. It's actually really good for that purpose. It DOES add warmth. I did no scientific test, but after each night when I woke up, the sleeping mat was warm (from my body heat, being reflected down, then up), and the tent floor was cold. That means it does its job with reflecting warmth.It's extremely lightweight (less than 100g), and very portable and compact.However, it's not very durable. After only using it for a few days, the seam for one of the edges tore up. I used the mat normally, yet this happened. It can't be very durable for this reason. The seller kindly offered a partial refund because of this.Most likely, if you use this product, you'd need to repair it yourself several times. But it's pretty easy to repair with eg duck tape. Therefore, I do recommend it still.

Why did you choose this product over others?:Not the best. The seam edging ripped on the first night. It's quite a slippery surface, so expect your mat to move around. Although, I guess that'll depend on the sleep mat you use. Even though it ripped, it still serves its purpose. And for the price you can't really go wrong.

wife got this to go camping with her daughters, and grandson. she loves it, extremely lightweight, packable and does a great job of insulating her from the cold floor. amazing price too.

Wasnt damaged on delivery but fell apart when I unfolded it, poor quality, basically if you imagine a 2mm sheet of foam that comes in packaging with a foil coating and a very badly stitched piece of cloth round the edge, durability is basically 0 and if you took thos camping wouldn't survive a night.

Good material, bit small, only one person can sit on it.
